If you're interested in Hahnemuhle Photo Luster 290, it is 290 microns in thickness. or .29 mm, so the Epson Stylus 1400 cannot handle that thickness. You can use Epson photo papers if they are within the specs and I believe most are for that printer series. The thickness should be indicated on the box or in the specs for the paper.

A: Yes. I prefer the glossy for metallic. The luster subdues the metallic. I wouldn't metallic B&W's with metallic. But color I prefer glossy metallic and lustre regular.

A: Since the Fuji Crystal Archive Paper is a high glossy paper, I would recommend trying the Epson Metallic Photo Paper Glossy. But it really depends on the image what will look good and give you that glow. Images that rely on a gradient to establish contrast, rather than stark changes in color and darkness, sometimes will not have enough punch. Where the metallic seems to work best is when the luminosity of the silver white and the pure black can play against each other.
