[Aluminum] I love the features, I love the brightness, I love the bluetooth, I am very happy with what it does.


The main thing bugging me is the big handle for the yoke. Big pro lights have those, but I feel like this has it just to look pro, but not to be pro. The long handle is there to give leverage when tightening or loosening, but I feel like this has too much plastic to make that leverage safe in the long term. I'm leaving it at 5 stars and may update it if something actually happens, but that's my first impression.


I also don't prefer the big handle because it sticks out awkwardly in my lighting case eating up valuable space. To be fair, the included case is perfectly decent, but I wouldn't send it through TSA or anything like that.

[19.465 lb] These bulbs are great and the above reviewers obviously didn't do due diligence before buying. These bulbs are controlled via Power Station, Astera Box or using CRMX. These are better than the Aputure offering (I owned both) but you need to understand what you are buying and how they fit into your work.

[27 x 15 x 13.8"] I was surprised when I got these to discover there is a gasket of sorts on the fixture side that greatly helps reduce light leaks, especially if used in the closest gel frame slot. They feel well constructed and I am looking forward to many years of use with these.

[6.29" / 159 mm] This is a fantastic addition to my GVM COB light. I love the control it provides. To be able to spot in the light or flood it out depending on the scene is very helpful. This COB light already provides a lot of light, but adding a Fresnel pushes the intensity even more. According to GVM 10x more brighter with the Fresnel on. The specs say with the GVM SD300d, it goes from 35,000 Lux at 1m with it flooded (40 degree) to 40,900 Lux at 1m with it spotted (10 degree) and I believe it. My GVM COB light really pops with it on. If you've worked with Fresnel lenses you know how beneficial they can be, so having it as an adapter is fantastic. Meaning you can put it on or take it off whenever needed. This adds so much versatility to your COB lights. And since it is Bowens mount, it can fit most other lights with that standard mount. The build quality is also very impressive, especially at this price. It feels very well made and the mount seems strong. It comes with a rubber like material around the barrel which helps with grabbing to twist and reduces any heat you would feel spotting or flooding the light. The Fresnel attaches easily and securely, and the twisting mechanism to spot or flood is smooth. I'm very happy with this Fresnel adapter. It is very helpful and adds a significant amount of brightness to the light and also control.

[6.29" / 159 mm] First use was in an auditorium that was larger than it should have handled. Everyone was so impressed by the clean and bright white light. It impressed me enough that I will purchase another on so I can have proper spotlight operations.

[19.465 lb] I’ve always loved the design of Nanlite fixtures and this is another fresh new look. It’s pretty lightweight for a 500W fixture. And the price is perfect for my budget! I have used this for ton of productions already and now looking to add either additional FC-500B or the FC-300B.
