Q: 1. Are extra dividers available? Is extra padding for the top bottom available?

A: You may obtain extra dividers through Lowepro by calling 1-201-818-9500.

Q: 2. Can you take out the entire camera insert?

A: There is no "entire camera insert" per se, but rather the inner bag is lined with touch-fastener material that the multiple padded inserts fasten to. You can remove all these pads from the bag, but you do not get fully-separated insert to use with other bags, if that was your intention.

A: While the airline carriers have the final say, this does fall under the maximum linear dimensions allowed as carry-on baggage. For assurance, I recommend speaking to your airline to avoid issues during boarding.

Q: 4. Can I buy the insert separately? I'd like to have two inserts that I can swap.

A: While the insert is removable, we do not carry it separately. This can only be obtained through LowePro directly.

Q: 5. Will a Sony A7RV with the 300 F2.8 GM lens attached fit in the bag or is the 450 the best for that combo?

A: The Sony a7R V Mirrorless Camera with the Sony FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E is a tight fit in the Lowepro Whistler 350 BP AW II (Gray). The Lowepro Whistler 450 BP AW II (Gray) option is better.

[Zipper] nice build quality, have a Z8 with a long zoom and two mid sized primes, caps. lens hoods. battery charger, and other items and still have some room left. back pack straps are nice too.

[Zipper] This is a great camera bag with easy access. I have found it very helpful with the access from the back!

[Universal] I originally bought the whistler 350 (version1) which I really liked a lot. Then I read the design specs of version 2 and knew I needed to get it. I was carrying two backpacks for all my camera and laptop gear. I realized version two made it a lot simpler for me to also carry my laptop with its own designated spot. The other features that really stood out to me is the front zipper expands at the bottom half (ver2) instead of the top half (ver1). Seems better to have the expansion at the bottom half to stuff things “down”. Also I can adjust the padding inside to allow me to grab my camera out the top zipper, super enhancement. Although I really like the removable icu box of ver1, I felt it was better/ leaner without carrying that additional payload. It’s such a nice looking bag and doesn’t immediately appear durable, but it is a fantastically durable and high quality. I feel very confidant that this bag with keep my camera gear exceptionally safe when I put it into a challenging situation and weather.

[8.785 lb] Well constructed to hold photo equip. and to protect the contents. Great looks. Weather-resistant exterior, put a separate weather cover. Nice long handle. Lots of room for papers and laptop or large iPad. Overall size would not be a problem as an airline carryon.

[Zipper] The Lowepro Flipside 400 AW III has a very sturdy feel, with a lot of padding around the main compartments. I also love the internal divider system, which provides an infinite variety of possible configurations. I am using this backpack as a bag for the eyepieces, star atlases, and other peripherals associated with my telescope, and I would highly recommended in this capacity.

[8.785 lb] A little too small for 2 DSLR bodies with prime lenses + filters, batteries, blowers, timers and the like, that is what the 450 AW II is for, but... I did buy it for when I go mirrorless, and carry a more simplified kit.
For now, one Nikon D810 body, 2 x lenses, 100 x 100 filter gear etc, it is great to work out of, providing you give some thought to partitioning. The ability for the bag to stand upright is a plus, as is the useful top entry opening.
I find the camera weight does not drag down on the dividers if configured with camera at base, but does require a full unzip to retrieve or return it. Small price to pay for gear that remains in place while hiking.

[Gray] Bought this bag 2 years ago to have as large a carry on as possible and carry a light cinema kit. This was one of the few bags I could find that could fit a Blackmagic Ursa (broken down) and still go into overhead bins. General kit I can fit in this includes a Blackmagic Ursa Pro + Smallrig handles/baseplate, 15mm rods, zip focus, 7 SmallHD, magic arm, multiple Sony NPFs, 2 Canon zooms, laptop, kindle, multiple drives, 2 sets of hard power (camera and laptop), various tools, all in a carry on. The wheels on this are also some of the best I've encountered. I've been super happy with the overall construction and durability of this bag and have flown a lot of miles with it.
