The N°1 offers accurate sound reproduction through the use of Focal's exclusive technologies, like the Slatefiber cone woofer made from recycled carbon fibers and the 'M'-shaped inverted dome TAM tweeter to enhance the treble. The Vestia N°1 speaker features a 6.5" midrange/bass driver to deliver neutral midrange and powerful bass. Ultra-rigid MDF construction provides controlled resonance and an aerodynamic front port minimizes distortion and allows for placement closer to the wall. The Vestia N°1 is ideal in rooms up to 323 ft2. All Focal speaker drivers are developed and manufactured in France by Focal.

The Vestia loudspeakers are equipped with Focal's exclusive Slatefiber cone speaker drivers. Each N°1 speaker houses one 6.5" composite cone, comprised of recycled non-woven carbon fibers applied as a filling between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. The combination of these two materials results in excellent acoustic performance, in terms of sound velocity as well as rigidity, damping, and lightness. Focal is the first brand in the audio field to use recycled carbon fibers in its speaker drivers.

Another engineering exclusive, Focal claims the 'M' shape of the inverted dome tweeter has several advantages over a standard inverted dome tweeter. The 1" 'M'-shaped tweeter is even less directional than the standard inverted dome for better flexibility of listening position. Also, the 'M' shape gives the dome more rigidity while reducing distortion. The horn housing of the 'M'-shaped tweeter has been designed to provide equal horizontal and vertical directivity, translating to more accurately reproduced high frequencies with less of a room "sweet spot."

For the Vestia line, Focal took their inspiration from Vesta and Hestia, Greek goddesses of the hearth and the home. The aesthetic combines a sleek design with understated and refined finishes. The front panels of the loudspeakers have a leather effect, combined with a black high-gloss finish on the side panels.

Made in France in their own workshops, these loudspeakers deliver the Focal purity of sound. They are proud to manufacture products in their production workshops in Saint Étienne and cabinetry workshops in Bourbon-Lancy, France, which has afforded them certification as a French Living Heritage Company and recognition worldwide.

[8 Ohms] Perhaps the best purchase that I have made on -line. The packaging, design and build quality are fantastic. Upon assembly, avoid over tightening the posts by hand ( as I first tried) as they will want to twist away from center. Instead, tighten them slightly by hand, twisting the posts into alignment with the top plate. This will keep the top and bottom plate square. Then fully tighten with the screws through the bottom. I filled mine with crushed walnut shells as I had them on hand. I wanted to buy some extra heavy sand that is used for filling shooting bags, but didn't find any locally.

[89.5 dB] I have a pair of B&W 606 S2 speakers that I absolutely loved for hi fi stereo listening. Been happy for years but recently decided to try the 706 S3 because I always wondered why the 706 cost more than $1000 more than the 606. After 30 seconds, I know why. The midrange and highs from the 706 is silky smooth and depending on the material, the sound stage is deep. Sometimes I think the instruments and the singer(s) is in the same room! It's that good. I am driving these speakers with a McIntosh MC275 and boy does it sound good. Also the fit and finish of the cabinet is much higher than on the 606 series which might matter to some people. For me it's the exceptional and accurate reproduction of musical instruments and vocals that matter most to me.
