[40 to 350 W] Got 4 of these on sale (half off). Excellent speaker for the price and size. Handles power from my onkyo THX Select SR608 up to moderately high volume. Even produce some decent bass for the size. This is a very bright sounding speaker.The Sony ATMOS speakers fit on top perfectly.

[Metal Spikes] These speakers have good highs and also midrange, the bass could be a little better...but with my subwoofer it doesn't matter much. The appearance of the speaker are very nice having the piano gloss look....looks like very exspensive speakers, for the money you can't beat these speakers!

[MDF] First, the audio: When it comes to audio, beauty is in the ear of the listener. I debated the 555 versus the 777 and purchased the 555. No regrets. When the Yamaha RX-V4A receiver in front of the speakers was fine-tuned, these speakers cover the complete range of audio output and do it well. When the drummer smacks the sticks into the rim of the snare drum, it is as clear as being there. The bass produced is clear, certainly adequate and not a muddled boom.
Second the physical: The assembly is easy, the support foot attachment could be improved with pre-installed nutserts and machine screws instead of wood screws attaching the feet to the cabinets. The grilles look good and apparently are meant to stay in place and not intended for (easy) removal. The polished black exterior looks great.
Every listener's auditory capabilities and taste in sound are different. The NS-555 meets my expectations well in both categories. All at a reasonable price. Thanks B & H.

[8 Ohms] Definitive Technology has done it again with DM70s! These towers are just as awesome as stated in the Audioholics review - https://www.audioholics.com/tower-speaker-reviews/def-tech-dymension-dm70-dm20/#toc-h2-3. I consider myself to be an advanced intermediate level Home Theater enthusiast and these speakers deliver on all levels, bass, mids, and highs. Prior to upgrading to the DM70s I owned the BP8020s, great speakers but comparing them to the DM70s is an apples and oranges comparison. The build quality has been greatly improved. The lack of LFE input isn’t missed and is an enhancement because this design approach opens the door to using 4 DM70s or more in a system with full-range audio at all channels! They definitely hit deep as u can see from my MultEQ-X measurements, without applying my room target curve these speakers play down in the 20Hz range. These speakers can easily be utilized without a dedicated sub but adding one definitely will take your system to the next level. I recommend 2 subs if you have the space to maintain balance. The highs are very articulate but not overly bright and the height of the mid/highs module is optimal for listening in a seated position. If you are searching for your next set of towers look no further, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

[40 to 350 W] Love how there are things I never heard before coming from these new Sony Speakers. I have a 5.1 system, and I'm hearing realistic sounds that sometimes I mistake for REAL sounds....birds, doorbells, dogs barking, car horns..... LOVE the realistic sound and the WIDE range these speakers have.

[92 dB] I was a skeptic before purchasing the NS-555 since they are a bass reflex speaker.I prefer acoustic suspension spkrs BUT, the Yamies are not boombing bass, very strong solid bass responce and very good mid and high range. I'm using a Yamaha HTR-5860 AV receiver,YST-215 sub woofer and NS-C444 center speaker. Using two Sony spkrs for rear but will replace them with the Yamaha NS-333. I find the complete Yamaha system i have sounds great and i get many compliments on the suround sound!! Yamaha speakers truely brings sounds to life ! I'm a YAMIE !!!!!

[3-Way] I have had my speakers for a year now but first let me start by saying I love movies and music. So I love hear all the special sound effects in both, foot steps, little noises in the back ground etc etc.. So if you are like me, you will find these speakers really deliver big time! They deliver a live band sound experience to the moment. I have sound systems on every TV in my house, living room Bose, bedroom Harmon Kardon. So when it came to my movie room where I was going to be entertaining, plus its my pride and joy. I had to get what I been wanting for a while now and the performance exceeded my expectations. The sound is really crisp and clear, never had any distortion. You don't buy these speakers unless want high end sound, get the best AVR and projector you can afford. Then enjoy having the time of your life!

[92 dB] I bought these after much reviews/research. Best homework I've done. The mid and highs are right there! They do lack bass, nothing that a good subwoofer can't fix. The design/size is very good and light weight. Makes the speakers almost invisible.

[Metal Spikes] I bought a pair of these sony tower speakers the sound reproduction is fantastic i also bought the atmos speakers to go with them they sit on top of the tower speaker the pair look very nice and do not take up a lot of room on each side of the tv. They sound very good hooked up to the sony STR DN 1080 A/V receiver. I would recommend these speakers to anyone
