Q: 1. My PocketWizards are CE frequency, will the Raven work with them? Or does this version only trigger FCC PocketWizards?

A: Since the radio frequency of Pocket Wizard with FCC compliance is 344Mhz, the FUSION TLC Raven Flash Trigger for Nikon cannot trigger the Pocket Wizards with CE compliance.

Q: 2. Buy this version enables for the Fusion Studio 16 version when available?

A: Yes, this would allow you to use Fusion Studio 16. As long as your computer meets the basic system requirements.

Q: 3. Do I need a receiver for the Paul C. Buff Celestial and Link? I saw another comment about the link but not celestial. Also, if it doesn’t need a receiver and syncs to both wirelessly, does it work well enough or do you recommend getting another receiver to be better? Thank you!

A: The FUSION TLC Raven Flash Trigger for Canon needs a receiver for it to work. If your Paul Buff light has a receiver it should work.

Q: 4. I'm using Pinnacle 18....would fusion 7 Studio be any better......I'm using window 8.1?

A: Fusion is a VFX software, not editing. You can edit in fusion, but it won't be easy. If you need to track, composite in 2d or 3d then Fusion is is only second to Nuke as far as the overall potential. But Nuke is bloated and slow by comparison plus it's true power lies in scripting. AE would be another software worth mentioning, that best represents the blend of VFX composting and editing all in one. It is layer based unlike the peers, which makes it cumbersome for large composites, and it's rather sluggish even with local storage, but it does everything.

Q: 5. What is the differences between Fusion 9 Studio and DaVinci Resolve Studio?

A: I've used all version of Fusion since the early DOS days of v1.2. It has become one of premiere compositing applications used at many VFX house's worldwide. It is a node based compositor like Shake and Nuke and excels in features and performance. The Studio version includes extra power features like 3D camera tracking and OFX plugin support. Once you go down the node based work path, you will never look at old style layer based programs in the same way. Limited only by the user's creativity.DaVinci Resolve Studio is a full featured non-linear editing suite. Starting out with a strong background in color grading and evolving into one of the best editing suites on the market. With version 15 Blackmagic has started to incorporate the Fusion VFX engine into Resolve. This gives the user the feature set of Fusion at the editorial level, and can allow end-to-end editing, audio production, VFX, Color Grading and Delivery all in one application. No more round tripping between multiple applications. It is a power house NLE program that has great industry support for hardware add-ons and an active development program that keeps it modern, ground breaking and up to date.I use both these programs daily and constantly find new ways to use the software to grow creatively. Two thumbs up.

Q: 6. What's the best way to equip this with a Mitchell head mount?

A: To mount a Mitchell Mount on the Matthews Round-D-Round Doorway Dolly, an option would be to first mount the Matthews 515003 Elemac Mounting Plate (BH #MAEMP), mount the Matthews PN 377702 24-39" Telescoping Bazooka (BH #MABAZ) and use the Matthews 515024 Elemack Arm to Mitchell Adapter (BH #MAEMA) for an offset option.

Q: 7. Can a go pro be attached to this tripod?

A: As long as you have the 1/4 20 mount for the GoPro it can be attached.

Q: 8. Any plans for Broncolor, I was wondering?

A: At this time the FUSION TLC Raven Flash Trigger is only made for Canon, Nikon and Hasselblad X. There is no news at this time of one being made for Broncolor.

Q: 9. Anyone know if the Raven will trigger the Paul Buff's Link?

A: According to the Camera and Flash Compatibility link on Fusion TLC's website, yes, the FUSION TLC Raven Flash Trigger for Canon has direct communication to the Link from Paul C. Buff.

Q: 10. Fusion 9 dongles all work with Resolve Studio 15, right?

A: Yes, single seat Fusion dongles work with DaVinci Resolve Studio 15.

I use this to make an otherwise usable C100 EVF quite usable. I thought it would be a temporary fix, but it works well enough that instead of looking for a better solution, I just bout a backup. At this price, why not?

Can't live without these. I prefer the microfibre ones but also like the chamois version. The Extra Large Round fit nicely on the old SmallHD DP4 EVF eyecup.

keeps sweat out of eye. I shoot a lot in Caribbean. I use with my small HD sidefinder. this is the size you want. helps with eye piece fogging up. I find I can get away with using it a few full days of shooting handheld before it gets a little gross. let's be honest. I use it a little past the gross part cause I'm cheap. it's fine.

I bought one to try out on my SmallHD DP-4 evf and love it. It fits perfectly, and felt great against my skin on a shoot in a hot warehouse. I also cast a little extra shade on the eyepiece when the camera is idle, reducing the chance of direct sunlight entering and burning the screen on the DP-4 (I still use the lens cover as quickly as I can). I can't find anything wrong with the unit and plan on buying several more to keep in my kit so I can replace them as they get soiled and sweat stained.

These eye pads are comfortable and work great. I use them on an Arriflex 16 SR-2 and they fit well.

I had torn my eyepiece on my Sony XDCAM and needed a replacement so I bought 2 of these. They fit my XDCAM, my HDX900, my old BetaCam, without a problem. If you don't have the eye cup or want a different one, measure your cameras diopter and go for one of these. This would also work on other eye cups or eye pieces for other diopters too.
