[Gold Mount] This adapter could be sold by dozens if it was better marketed. It is a fantastic idea for anyone with on set monitors (focus pullers, camera ops, video village) . Worth EVERY penny. Hot swap is the bomb.

[Gold Mount] Honestly I just got it and I'm positively shocked at what a great idea this type of rigging is and how well it seeems to take weight. I've got Hytron batteries on it which are INCREDIBLY heavy and while I wouldn't recommend doing it too much just knowing it can take it in a pinch is great. Great build quality. A idea, A execution

[Gold Mount] Using this with the Atomos Shinobi 7 and 3 different Gold mount batteries. Build quality is great and the batteries latch in nicely. Just plug in the cable before sliding the receiver plate onto the back of the monitor.

The 3 batteries I am using with this - Indi Pro Tools Micro-Series 98W,
Core SWX Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh, and an official Anton Bauer Digital Series 90 Gold Mount Battery 87Wh.

[Gold Mount] I use this with a MixPre-3 and a hirose-to-d-tap cable.  Works as expected.  Its awesome to be able to power the MixPre off camera battery.  Would buy again.


Only suggestion I have is that if you do use this to power your MixPre, and if you feed a signal back into your camera (i.e. not just record to the MixPre, but also send a scratch track signal from the MixPre to the camera), then you will want to get a ground loop isolator to put in your signal chain.  Otherwise the in-camera scratch track will have interference noise.  (The internal MixPre recording remains pristine.)

[Gold Mount] This plate is terrific quality with a great tight lock. The two p-tap ports are great vs a normal plate with only one. Plus, irs cheaper than the Smallhd plate! I use this on my Smallhd 1303 HDR to power the monitor and two Teradek recievers at once, keeping the 2 pin LEMO on the monitor free for charging focus hand units or additional tools.

[Gold Mount] This is NOT Velcro! Its one strip and it sticks to itself when you press the pieces together. The glue on the back is quite strong. The teeth on the strip are deeper than Velcro.

The material is very stiff, suitable for holding items of moderate weight. If you want to hold light wires together, use something else.

I will probably want more of this.

[Gold Mount] Velcro works, but dual -lock is much more stable. I trust it with objects like a Teredek.

[Gold Mount] Works great with my Core XP-L90 battery to power a Sony A7S and Atomos Ninja Flame from the dual D-Tap ports. The port on top of the plate has a bit more space underneath the connector when compared to the D-Tap port on the side. This was actually extremely helpful for me since the dummy battery cable for my A7S doesn't fit in the port on the side since it's seemingly a bit thicker than normal. No other D-Tap accessories that I've tried have had this clearance problem. When attached to a Shape CP33 Cheese Plate the entire setup is rock solid. The battery release latch is also extremely satisfying.
