[Mottled Gray] This is a beautiful high-quality backdrop. Yes, out of the tube it looks very dark but it requires background lighting. Good starting point for me was matching subject light and background light equally using a flashmeter (you got one of those, right?) I also shoot with a longer lens to blur it out a bit. Once lit properly you’ll see a palette of beautiful subtle shade variations 5

[Spot Clean] I've been wanting to do work with painted canvas for a long time, and finally pulled the trigger on a Savage, because I've heard great things. This eclipse color is quite dark, so if you want more texture to show in photos, either light the canvas or go with the other grat (I think it's called Ash?). Wonderful though, and I am very happy with it. I plan to by Desert Sand next I think. 5

[Spot Clean] The thickness is good for this price, and the painted fabric feels expensive. A few wrinkles but they remove with a little steam work. A very rich and pleasing background. Very happy, going to pick up another 1-2 of these. 5

[Crossbar] I wasnt sure about this when I ordered the backdrop, I wasnt sure how realistic it would look. I needed a larger backdrop, I have small drapes and such but nothing this large. The blue looks really good since it does not have the usual folds you can get in fabrics. The really stand out is the Gray pine up close its not that realistic but in pictures it looks great. The only real down size is that since it has lines you really need to make sure they are either true horizontal or vertical anything else looks a little weird, or least it does to me. 5
