Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is this device can power 12t microphone?

A: The Xvive Audio P1 Portable Phantom Power Supply with Rechargeable Battery supplies 12 or 48V of phantom power, but does not supply 12V of T power. Although phantom power will not generally damage a T-powered microphone, they use different circuitry and T-power microphones cannot be properly used with phantom power supplies. A recommended T-power product can be found in the Denecke Dcode PS-T Microphone Power Supply (BH #DEPST): https://bhpho.to/3vd9fT2

Q: 2. Will this power a lectrosonics src receiver?

A: Yes it will. But there is also a dedicated SR receiver battery sled that also has the audio output jacks on the bottom. Part number is SRBATTSLED. It comes in 2 versions, one for top and one for bottom of receiver mounting. a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/604141-REG/Lectrosonics_SRBATTSLEDBOTTOM_SRBATTSLEDBOTTOM_SR_Battery.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/604141-REG/Lectrosonics_SRBATTSLEDBOTTOM_SRBATTSLEDBOTTOM_SR_Battery.html/aa href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/621589-REG/Lectrosonics_SRBATTSLEDTOP_SRBATTSLEDTOP_SR_Battery.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/621589-REG/Lectrosonics_SRBATTSLEDTOP_SRBATTSLEDTOP_SR_Battery.html/a

Q: 3. Will the female XLR output fry my Tentacle Track E with Phantom Power?

A: The female XLR connection on the Xvive Audio P1 Portable Phantom Power Supply with Rechargeable Battery accepts an input connection and supplies phantom power to connected microphones. The XLR male output connection on the P1 could be adapted to pass signal along to the Tentacle Sync TRACK E Pocket Audio Recorder.

Q: 4. Can the Xvive P1 Phantom PS be connected to a TS mono mic level audio input using a XLR female to 3.5 TS mini jack cable?

A: Yes, you can use the Xvive Audio P1 Portable Phantom Power Supply to connect an XLR microphone that requires phantom power to a 3.5mm microphone input using an XLR female to 3.5mm TS male mini-jack cable.

Q: 5. How many paired devices does it remember?

A: The Galaxy Audio JIB/BT8R Bluetooth Audio Receiver would not remember any paired devices. If you are using a source with a Bluetooth transmitter built in, like a smartphone or tablet, it will have the ability to remember the Galaxy Audio JIB/BT8R Bluetooth Audio Receiver so that you can select it and pair it.

Q: 6. Is the mounting clip metal or plastic?

A: Plastic. it's pretty thick though.

Q: 7. What are the dimensions? I want to fill it with ice water for my great pyrnees to sit on during a hot day. He suffers in the heat

A: This product measures 16.0 x 6.0" and offers a weight capacity up to 38 lbs.

Q: 8. Any decent way to hang this from the built-in hook on my tripod?

A: The saddle bag has a handle made from nylon that you could use to hook onto the built in hook on your tripod. Just make sure that your tripod will handle the weight of your camera, lens, and whatever amount of weight you put into the saddle bag.

[0.48 lb] Replaced my stock Wyred4Sound Recovery power supply [feeding my DAC] with the iPower X. Am getting a quieter signal, blacker background and more 3-dimensional sound.

Have always had good success with iFi products and the iPower X is no exception.

Getting a great deal from B&H makes it even better!

[12 VDC, 1000 mA] I'm using this with a PA system by Samson which does not have phantom power to operate a Sennheiser ME2 lav. It works beautifully selecting the 12 volt option. I am also using this in comibnatinon with a Sennheiser SKP G4 transmitter with an Oktava MK-10. The unit works great and adds zero noise.
Highly recommended.

[0.48 lb] This is a fantastic solution to powering a mic. I use a Sennheiser MKE600 and although it can be powered via AA batteries, I don't trust that they'll last an entire day of shooting, nor is there a way to monitor the power level at a glance. This solves all of that. Clear power indicator lights, all-day battery, and it's rechargeable.
As other reviewers have stated, my only wish is that it had a 1/4-20 threaded hole so I could mount it to my camera. I made it work using hi-strength velcro and a rubber gear-tie from Lowes but it would really be perfect if it had a threaded mount.
Overall still very satisfied, and I got it used for about $30 bucks. So this solves your mic power for about the price of two packs of AA's.

[0.48 lb] I bought this because I wanted to see if a better, quieter, switching power supply would improve the sound of my sonos port feeding into an external DAC. I had read that cheaper switching power supplies can create a lot of noise. I tried it and noticed better dynamic range and quieter noise floor. For me, it works well. I suspect that for others, it will depend on what type of device it is being attached to.

[0.48 lb] I have a few cameras that will not provide phantom power and this is doing the job of allowing me to use mics that need power. The signal through it has been crystal clear for me. And I can't tell you how much I love that it is rechargeable. No need to replace batteries. I've yet to even come close to it running out of power (says it lasts up to 40 hours!), but the fact that you can attach a portable power bank to keep it running if need be is nice to know. That is fantastic. To be able to change between 48v and 12v is a great feature. I'm super happy with this product.

[12 VDC, 1000 mA] This item is allows me to hardwire my lavs when RF capability is unnecessary or problematic. It is mislabeled as being simply for headsets.

[12 VDC, 1000 mA] I use this with Geshelli Labs excellent JNOG3 DAC. I was initially disappointed with the sound stage of this DAC. It was wide but the depth was not very layered. I have had past success improving sound with upgraded power supplies, so decided to try an iFi as a quick test before going linear. Might as well get the top model.

I am very impressed. The soundstage deepened and layers emerged. Imaging and detail improved. This really unleashed the $600 JNOG3 to produce a nice holographic image that rivals my $1400 DIY Ian Canada monster (I have an obsession with DACs. Got the JNOG3 as my first AKM test unit ).

My system is fairly high end: DIY BMR Philharmonitor speakers with high-end crossover components, DIY 24-strand OCC braided speaker cables, DIY Hypex Nilai500 monoblocks, DIY Goldpoint attenuator in lieu of a preamp, JNOG3 DAC (for this review) with Kimber Hero XLR interconnects. Silver solder, copper/gold connectors and all that jazz.

I share this setup for context. My system is VERY revealing and sensitive to any change in the signal path or power supplies. The improvement from adding the iPower X was instantly noticeable on my system. The improvement may not be as apparent on a less revealing system. YMMV.

As a simple, drop-in power supply upgrade, the iPower X is a low-cost way to improve low voltage audio equipment performance. Highly recommended.

[0.48 lb] We need some way to supply phantom power to a condenser microphone feeding into a Sennheiser wireless transmitter. This proved to be the perfect solution. Its construction is first class and it works flawlessly. We're so thankful we were alerted to this product and highly recommend it.
