The Sirui T-1205 Carbon Fiber Tripod with K-10 II Ball Headfrom Sirui T-1205 Carbon Fiber Tripod with K-10 II Ball Headis a versatile, yet lightweight and portable travel tripod with a maximum height of 64.4" and a load capacity of 44.1 lb. It's reverse-folding legs allow it to fold down to a compact 16.93", and it weighs a mere 3.51 lb, making it easy to carry along wherever it may be needed. The T-1205 comes with a full center column and a short center column, which can be easily swapped out for low-level shooting perspective or macro photography.

For situations where full tripod may be too bulky or slow, like when shooting sports or wildlife, one leg comes unscrewed and converts into a full-featured monopod. A center column segment can be attached for a maximum height of 58.9", when combined with the included K-10 II head.

The K-10 II ball head features and Arca-type quick release receiver with plate, a panoramic base with and independent locking knob, and a numbered scale for precision panoramic imaging. Additionally, the head includes three bubble levels for precision alignment, tension adjustment control, and a 90° notch for vertical camera orientation.

A: Mine weighed in at 3.01 lbs. The description is misleading as it implies that the system only weighs 2.2 lbs. Even the legs alone weighed 2.4 lbs. The ball head weighed about 0.6 lbs.

A: Yes. But so far it is not needed. I feel the tripod is stable enough for my Nikon D810 with zoom lens in the normal condition.

A: Yes and No. Tripod legs will hold fine, but not the head. Get a better tripod head like the K-20 II or K-30 II, and pair it with a L Bracket for vertical shots.

[90°] Excellent Tripod and Ball Head at a good price. Especially like the flip lock tabs. Experience has taught me that flip locks' are much better then twist type. Opening and closing 9 tabs or more every time you set up or break down can be very bothersome, especially on twist tabs, if you forget the sequence because you can't see. Doing this over and over on a full day of photographing can just be one more little irritant that you don't need. The 'Devils is in the details'. Good thinking Sirui. 5

[90°] My main tripod was an aluminum beast that is certainly sturdy. It is also certainly heavy. This thing is light, sturdy and folds up small. It can also be used at a lot of heights other than eye level. 5

[Carbon Fiber] I liked this tripod so much I bought a second one. I'm pretty hard on equipment, My first one broke a fall when i slipped on some loose gravel going down a steep hill. No fault on the tripod, I was glad the tripod leg broke rather then mine. Anyway, my favorite tripod to use and I have many others. If a tripod weighed much more then this I just would never hike with one. The ball head is good for my 50-400 when using the extra collar to balance the load. Will not work for my larger 150-600. Leg deployment is fast and smooth, it packs into a standard carry-on when you remove the center post & ballhead. Working height max is a little higher then chest high (I'm 6 ft), Overall it is a great combo. Arca swiss works with everything else... Perfect! 5

[5] I had this tripod for over a year. Finally took it to a demanding trip. One week of winter photography in Iceland. Cold weather, wind and iced ground supporting a Canon 5DIII with a 24 70 2.8 II, a 16 35 f4 or a 70 200 2.8 II. Impeccable performance. Very easy to set up and solid. Shooting HDR and long exposures most of the time, these qualities are a must. Side by side with other heavier and more expensive tripods no difference in image quality and much quicker set up. The lever locks are excellent. Really enjoyed working with this tripod. Made things a lot easier in harsh conditions 5

[5.025 lb] I needed a small profile tripod for travel. After looking at a variety of small aluminum tripods, I realized I had to go with carbon fiber to really keep the weight down, especially for air travel. This Sirui is perfect for that. The quick release snaps for the legs are easy to deploy and snap locked with a satisfying click. The included ball head is ideal for travel and easily accommodates a Nikon D4s with a Nikon 80-200mm lens. The center hook adds the ability to hang a camera bag for even steadier setup. Granted, it is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and this is definitely a tripod that you won't hesitate to travel with anywhere you go. It even comes with a short center column to switch out for macro photography. 5

[Yes] This carbon fiber compact tripod is a true performer and handles up to 18 pounds! Not only does it fold up easily , it is quick to set up and deply. Plus they include a very nice carry case with shoulder strap. The ball head and included arca-swiss compatible mount was ready to go, right out of the box. A true value for a very decent price! Plus at the time of this writing, Sirui offered a nice rebate. Quality, performance and price - it hit all my marks! 5

[21.2 x 5.4 x 5"] I use this with a mirrorless camera. Often I ride a bike to the location where I will photograph, and this is totally portable. Likewise for a walk in the hills and mountains. Easy to set up and to carry, and it holds my camera steady. 5
