Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the minimum length?

A: As per the manufacturer, the minimum length of the Neewer Wall-Mounting Boom Arm is approximately 28 inches.

Q: 2. Will this work with the 6x Litepanel 1x with soft box?

A: Yes, it will, thou you will need to use a counter weight. I also wouldn't extend the thin last arm, just the main one. I've used it with a ad600 and a 38 softbox with no problem. YOu can always go with the bigger version if space isn't a factor.

Q: 3. Is the weight capacity 5 pounds total or at each end of the boom?

A: The 5 lb (2.3 kg) load capacity of the Impact Mid-Range Boom Arm with Light Stand & Casters Kit is the boom arm's total maximum load capacity when the light fixture is placed on the end of the boom arm and the boom arm is extended to its maximum extended length.

Q: 4. What is the maximum horizontal extension of the boom arm?

A: 60 inches

Q: 5. How do I attach a second reflector holder

A: Basically you will have to use "A" clamps.

Q: 6. What's the actual footprint of the wheel base?

A: The footprint of the Neewer Wheeled Base Light Stand is approximately 24-30 inches.

Q: 7. Its rated for a max load of 5 lbs, are they being conservative or is 5 really all it can handle?

A: I use it for a Paul C Buff X3200 which is 7.l lbs and it's OK. Not at full extension, but I don't need the reach.

Q: 8. Is this stand compatible with the Smallrig 220B?

A: No, the SmallRig Air-Cushioned Light Stand with Boom Arm does not support enough for the Smallrig 220B.

Q: 9. Can you attach a camera to this boom arm?

A: I have attached a ballhead and a camera to this boom arm. You will need to counter balance it though. Do Note it is real sensitive to any vibration in this configuration.

Q: 10. Can this be folded up or does it have to be dissembled each time for travel?

A: The stand can fold, but the boom will need to come off.

[Silver] Plenty beefy for my LEDs and flexfill diffusion or a kino.

[4' / 1.2 m] Very robust stand that will put up with a fair amount of weight, I love the spring loaded sections that will not allow the section to have a hard stop. Ideal for holding a backdrop cyclorama.

[4] Used for studio lights as you might guess. They replace some old, very light-duty stands on the job. These Avengers are much more stable than the old set.

[9.35 lb] I purchased four of these for times when I want a super lightweight light kit. They are designed and built very well. Fold up small and easy to carry. A good value.

[4] I researched light stands for weeks trying to find a stable stand that wasn't too expensive. I ended up choosing this one because it comes with the boom arm for the same price as comparable stands without a boom arm. I was blown away at the quality of this stand! Everything is silky smooth, from extending the legs to extending the stand. The Air cushioning is super nice, too - just release the clamps and it slowly drops down. All the connectors, knobs, joints, etc are super industrial, ready for a long life of service.

VALUE: SmallRig thought of everything here. This product comes with the stand, a boom, and a counterweight system (eyelet that screws into the boom arm with sand bags). All for the price of a competitor's stand without accessories. You can't beat the value here.

SIZE: This stand has two sections that extend, so it is a bit larger, heavier, and bulkier than my triple-section stand. The extra bulk translates into sturdiness, and is worth the extra heft.

QUALITY: All the joints, locks, connectors, sections, etc. are built to last. This stand will last many years of hard service.

STABILITY: Did I mention that this is stand is stable? Rock solid. No sway. No slippage. It has a large footprint to keep the payload steady.

If you are on the fence, look no further. This light stand is exactly what you're looking for :)

[48 x 4.5 x 4.5"] This stand is big and sturdy, and when you use it, you really appreciate those facts. The sections are large diameter. The knobs (my favorite part) are large, easy to grip, and tighten smoothly. I've put some heavy loads on this stand. Even though it is big, it is somehow very light. After using this stand, it makes me sad to have to use the little compact folding light stands with the tiny knobs that are hard to tighten.

[4' / 1.2 m] Got a used one which made it even more worth it. No complaints. Very sturdy, easy to setup, nice boom arm, and even comes with a sandbag and carrying bag that fits everything. When I need another c stand in the future I will definitely be buying this one again. Suprised it doesn't have other reviews but I'm glad I didn't let this deter me.

[Optional] Goes high enough and extends a decent amount for setting up interviews. Throw a 5lb bag on the arm and get perfect stability with your light fixture.

[Optional] No, you can't hang on it to do your exercises, but it feels like it could hold at least something approaching its rated weight, and the arm is stiffer than I expected. The fit and finish seems good. I intend to mount a 1-pound LED light on top and hang a 13 oz Sony RX100 from the arm, so it should be sturdy enough for my use. The included fittings make it adaptable to multiple uses, and the phone mount is a nice extra even though I didn't need it.
