[5 to 6 dBi] Have seen and heard/read about Ubiquiti products for years and finally made a plunge to replace my aging/ancient home network components consisted of dd-wrt flashed access points and a switch with dying ports. Ended up purchasing a) USW Flex Mini 5-Port Gigabit Managed Switch, b) U6 Pro Access Point and c) U6 Access Point in the end. They’ve been up and running with no issues for about a month now. I have pfSense running as my router, DHCP server, and f/w and they’re working together with no issues. The new Unifi components along with Unifi controller/network server (free download with no subscription charge and i’m running it locally) provide a truly “unified” view and current status of my network, which I didn’t have before. Since all of my access points are wired, I cannot speak for their mesh capability. I’m happy with purchase and hoping to add another access point (in-wall version this time) soon. As always, shipping from B&H was fast. 5

[5 to 6 dBi] Great product from ubiquity. Would have gotten another AP if I could connect it physically but wasn't worth the effort to get an Ethernet cord to where I needed it. So that's when this handy thing comes in. Works pretty well for an extender! 5

[Yes] I have an area where I installed outdoor smart lights. The distance from the ubiquiti U6 Enterprise is just a fraction too far away for them to connect successfully to my Wi-Fi. Sure, I could've ran an Ethernet cable and installed another AP, but this area is rarely occupied by anyone needing Wi-Fi, and to do all this work for a few smart lights seemed unnecessary. I just placed the U6 extender at the midpoint of the distance and got exactly what I was needing. 5
