Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I connect the balanced aux out of the T4S to a device with an unbalanced input? What cable should I use - TRS or TS?

A: The aux output of the Bose T4S ToneMatch 4-Channel Audio Mixer and USB Interface accepts 1/4" TRS or TS cables. If you are connecting to an unbalanced TS input, you can use a1/4" TS cable.

Q: 2. What are the power requirements...where I live it’s 230v-60Hz....?

A: The Bose T4S is powered through the included ToneMatch cable which connects to a Bose L1 or F1 system for digital audio and power. It does not use an external power supply.

Q: 3. Are the 8 input channels Stereo?

A: No, they are mono microphone inputs.

Q: 4. Can you use a regular cat5 cable for the audio engine cable? Also, What is the longest length recommended.

A: Hi, Harold. Thank you for your question. You can use a CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable in place of the ToneMatch cable. This is suitable for connecting a T4S to an L1 Model II or L1 Model 1S. Fifty feet is the recommended maximum. If you have more questions like this, please visit our Bose Portable PA Community. https://www.bosepro.community/g/portable Thank you.

Q: 5. How do the preamps with gain cranked up compare to other popular USB mixers at this price point? IE, vs Mackie (non-Onyx) and Behringer Q802.

A: These pre-amps will be in line with the quality that of a Behringer Xenyx mixer. These pre's would pair better with more sensitive signals requiring less gain to avoid noise.

Q: 6. For "Bose T8S ToneMatch 8-channel audio mixer", can the USB interface send all 8 channels to the computer?

A: Yes. The Bose T8S ToneMatch 8-Channel Audio Mixer and USB Interface has a USB Type-B port which can be used for connection to a computer as a general-purpose USB audio device for recording and playback. It can also be used to download performance scenes to a computer as well as to install system updates.

Q: 7. Could the Bose T4S ToneMatch Mixer control two different Bose L1 model 2 at the same time?

A: The Bose T4s does have connection available for two L1 speakers, so you can use them for left and right. Here is the extra cable you can use, for a second speaker: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/744793-REG/Bose_42536_T1_ToneMatch_Audio_Engine.html

Q: 8. Can this with the an ATEM MINI PRO ISO? If so, how do I connect it?

A: The Yamaha AG03MK2 3-Channel Mixer & USB Audio Interface (Black) could be connected to an ATEM MINI PRO ISO using an RCA to 3.5mm cable such as B&H # KOSMYCM2RM06.

Q: 9. When recording as an usb interface, does it give use of all channels or just two?

A: This device can function as a 2 channel usb interface to the computer. In the settings you can specify which sound sources you'd like to send to the pc.

Q: 10. What are the pros and cons of using a shielded cat5e/6 for the audio engine connection?

A: Hi Harold! Thank you for your question. Shielded cables are more effective for blocking interference in comparison to unshielded, so installing high-quality shielded cables will help to ensure high speed performance. However, I would recommend contacting Technical Support for your region - they will be more than happy to look further into this query for you. They will be able to advise you on the best option for your particular situation.

[USB-B 2.0 (I/O)] Easy to use AND it comes with the power supply when some do not.

[Amp Simulator] I'm really happy with how this mixer was designed in the first place. Even though I think it could use an on and off switch, it seems to be just fine when you simply unplug it from the outlet. The volume control works really well and the multiple channels are fantastic. I'm very happy with the output system. It works great with my stereo mic. I hear very little white noise when working with this mixer. A good little machine. :)

[USB-B 2.0 (I/O)] I bought this interface to use with my laptop for recording my vocals. I did a quick test and everything worked great and sounded great. Highly recommend this mini interface for recording a single instrument or vocals. It's easy to setup as well and the driver installs instantly on windows 7 and windows 10. Includes phantom power.

[USB-B 2.0 (I/O)] I wanted to add pre's to my saffire pro 40 and I didn't want the same kind of pre's I already had with my interface. So I went with these tube pre's. I really like them on Drums, they really add a kind of presence, more life to the drums, compared with the pre's on the saffire. For stuff like dialogues or voiceovers I think they are a bit too coloured tho, and the noise floor is quite high. But I really like them on loud sources. I am looking to change the tubes for high quality ECC83 soon to reduce noise floor. This is really cheap and a real good value. They add 8 pre's with one adat cable to my saffire pro 40, so I can carry my rack anywhere and record drums or a full band with 16 inputs. Really versatile. There's also 8 analogue balanced output, which is nice.

[44.1 / 48 kHz] Quality hardware, full metal case and connectors. POTs have a good consistent feel. I was already familiar with Audacity so this was another plus. My WIN7Pro laptop detected it and installation was a breeze.

[Amp Simulator] Great product in a nice metal case. Perfect for mixing a microphone and a line level (stereo) input.

[Amp Simulator] For the price, this is an unbelievable product. The tone is clean and smooth, the conversion is great, the ADAT output is simple, the whole thing is rugged and takes up only 1 rack space. The tone won't change your life or solve all your problems but I haven't found another product that gives you 8 channels for anywhere near this price.
