[50°] I use the long stripbox horizontally when lighting groups and vehicles, and this really allows me to control the light spill, to prevent hotspots. Well worth adding this to any kit. 5

[Fabric] Wanted to leave a review to counter the negative one because clearly there is a misunderstanding. This is an excellent tool to check a dmx ports universe without bothering the programmer. That said, it requires the programmer to use a method at the console level to identify universes. Any programmer working in Film should know and should be using this method. It is too easy to setup, and too helpful to SLTs not too. This tester and another competitor version we're both a response to finding a smaller battery operated tester that could take advantage of this method. For that it does the job well. If anyone is unaware of this method of universe identifiers... The idea is to PARK the 512th DMX slot at the level corresponding with its universe. So the dmx testers only job is to read the level of the 512th channel. (Though is has ability to read any ch if you prefer) So.... Universe 1: 512 is @ 001 Universe 2: 512 is @ 002 The only caveat for programmers is to choose whether to input that level in 0-100 or 0-255 format and match that setting to your tester. 0-255 is best, more accurate more possible universes. 5
