[Fabric] If you need to place your Quasar on a stand or hand it some where this will give you the M 10 to allow you to mount it.

[Fabric] Wanted to leave a review to counter the negative one because clearly there is a misunderstanding.

This is an excellent tool to check a dmx ports universe without bothering the programmer. That said, it requires the programmer to use a method at the console level to identify universes. Any programmer working in Film should know and should be using this method. It is too easy to setup, and too helpful to SLTs not too.

This tester and another competitor version we're both a response to finding a smaller battery operated tester that could take advantage of this method. For that it does the job well.

If anyone is unaware of this method of universe identifiers...
The idea is to PARK the 512th DMX slot at the level corresponding with its universe. So the dmx testers only job is to read the level of the 512th channel. (Though is has ability to read any ch if you prefer)

So....
Universe 1: 512 is @ 001
Universe 2: 512 is @ 002

The only caveat for programmers is to choose whether to input that level in 0-100 or 0-255 format and match that setting to your tester.

0-255 is best, more accurate more possible universes.

[Hook & Loop] Bought a bunch of these to make some diy KinoFlow fixtures. LEDs snap in securely, plus they look more legit than the cheap metal ones on Amazon.

[Fabric] If you have the QS T8 lights get these to make mounting much easier! Lights clip in super easy, I use just one for a 2 foot light and was able to drill the block in to a wall or attach it to a light stand.

[Hook & Loop] These work wonderfully with the Quasar Science LED tubes. They snap on the tubes easily, hold it securely, and still let you turn the tube to point the light in the correct direction. You fasten them with 10-32 machine screws and nuts, which you provide. The bracket has a recess to hold the nut in place, while you tighten the screw. They have little nubs on them, so you can easily align them if you are mounting more than one tube right next to another. Make sure you check the size before ordering though...they make them to fit different tubes (T8 for 1 tubes and T12 for 1.5 tubes). I didn't look closely on my first set and ordered the wrong size. These (the T8) DO fit the Quasar Science Q30 T8 Dimmable 5600K Linear LED Lamp (4') beautifully. ALSO: Make sure you order 2 for each tube you want to mount. This is only ONE (1) bracket.
