Q: 2. Will this work OK for TV dialog? Thank you

A: The Marantz Stereo 70S 2.1-Channel Network A/V Receiver (BH # MASTEREO70S) could improve television dialog when used with quality speakers, But a 5.1 or 7.1 channel receiver featuring a center channel would be be recommended.

Q: 7. How can I expand listening to other areas of my house? My current (old) Yamaha receiver allows me to plug in outdoor speakers. This doesn't have inputs like that. Can any bt speaker work or does it have to be the Yamaha MusicCast speaker?

A: Unfortunately this model does not provide a second Zone option. Though it has Bluetooth, it is only able to receive a Bluetooth signal for Audio Playback purposes. It is not able to transmit Bluetooth to a separate speaker. The MusicCast option will be the only way to expand the audio.

[ARC] Installed a couple weeks ago and spent sole time with this beast. Paired with Klipsch Heresy IV the imaging is outstanding, as if it’s impossible to tell where the speakers even are. YPAO does a great job of equalizing for the room, and the loudness level is a welcome throwback especially for nighttime listening. ARC works as expected too.

[110 dB] Great receiver with multi-zones and great sound output. The receiver has a great control application called music cast that is intuitive and looks great.

[59 lb] This is an excellent AVR for the money. Excellent sound quality and adequate power for a medium sized room - unless you are a crazy enthusiastic gamer.... The Yamaha-styled software support may not be to everyone's liking or as universally user friendly as some others. Also this unit does not appear to be controllable with the Yamaha AV controller app, so that if you I wish it had a signal out feature to support biamping.

[ARC] I called B.H. as I have been a past customer, when my receiver bit the dust. Technology had passed me by, and I needed advice on something that would work with some of my older components that had new technology such as Bluetooth. Israel was great. I was able to share what I had and what my budget was and he helped me find The perfect product. It was easy to hook up, and with the app and chat room I was able to make it all work. Can’t wait for my husband to leave the house so that I can actually blast it.

[110 dB] I've been streaming deezer and playing records and love the sound, especially paired with the subwoofer Yamaha NS-SW100 10. The musiccast app is easy to use, better than bluetooth streaming.

[FM] This unit is replacing a 7 year old Pioneer that failed. Set up of these units always takes a little longer than expected because of the configuration options available, but once I got it going it's great. The sound quality is superb, as you would expect. What differentiates these units for me these days is the added features and connectivity. I love that I can stream Spotify direct to the unit and control by zone. I have WiFi control of the unit with dual zones, and can also stream direct via Bluetooth from my phone if needed. My WiFi coverage in my house is excellent, but range is better than expected for Bluetooth. Since all my devices are now newer, I can control them through HDMI using my TV remote. My equipment is hidden in a closet, but if you have to keep this one visible, it really is sleek and looks great.

[FM] This Stereo 70S is so nice to look at, as are all the new Cinema styled Marantz pieces. It is in my kitchen, and as can be seen, is paired with Definitive Technology D7 bookshelf speakers (amazing gems.) Suffice to say this is a wonderful piece of audio/video jewelry, it is so gorgeous looking, and the sound is clean, very musical, and I would say accurate to the source. My wife uses this system and she loves it! HEOS connects with it perfectly, and I am so happy she is enjoying great sounding music! The fact that you can have 2 pair of speakers with this unit, either playing separately or together, is a really nice feature that I know will be used eventually. The new remotes are so nice and solid feeling as well, and the knobs on the front turn with the heft and feel of products costing much more. If you are looking for an easy to use/set up amplifier with excellent streaming capabilities, this should be at the top of your list.Thank you Marantz!
