Translucent glass from Schott protects LCD against scratches, abrasions and impact

12 layers of efficient AR / anti-reflective coating on both sides. One removable protective membrane, one anti-fingerprint coating by nano technology, and one waterproof coating by nano technology enclose the 12 layers of AR coating, creating a layered "sandwich." A double-sided, super heat-strengthened sheet of optical glass is inserted right in the middle of the 12 layers, dividing them into 2 groups of 6.

Q: 5. The more expensive GSPU-ND5300 has been confirmed to work on the new D5500. Assume this model also works on the D5500?

A: I think that you can use it but it may not fit properly at the edges. D5500 is not better than 5300 so if you are planing to update, don't do it. Otherwise you can check it at a store. Now, the main problem is the touch screen. I think the 5500 has a touch screen so i cannot guarantee that the touch will work.

Q: 6. Wouldn't this stop the touchscreen from working as a touchscreen?

A: I really Do not know. Plus I am reluctant to use it on the d850. I have a similar device on my D3s and it works. BUT ,,, what I found concerning was slight distortion in certain intense colors in reviewing the D850 photographed results. The D850 is more color sensitive than the D3s. I have trashed pixs rather than downloading them and photoshopping. I could go on, however, scratch protection by glass is a lot more functional than by 'tacky plastic film' and that's a no sh_tter.

Q: 9. Reviews say this product doesnt fit and is too large for the Nikon D750. The description says it may interfere with locking of the screen. How/where can I find one that is manufactured to the proper dimensions?

A: I just got mine and it's too large. I have the protector placed so that it is centered across middle, barely sticking on each vertical edge of the screen frame and hovering over the actual camera screen. I ordered a different product to replace right away. Don't see actual dimensions anywhere.

Q: 10. Does this screen protector come with 3 individual screens to cover all 3 screens on the D5 or only the main LCD screen?

A: Only the main LCD screen and working well on the touch screen of my D5

[Glass] I keep all my gear for a long time, so it's important for me to do things like protecting the LCD screen. Plastic film that bubbles or peels away does not work for me - at all. The Giottos Schott Glass screen protector fits my M8's screen perfectly, is super easy to keep clean, and does not scratch. I forget it's even there. A perfect product from a great camera store. 5

[Glass] It's easy to install and provides protection for both the rear and top LCDs of your camera - especially since Nikon doesn't provide a rear LCD protector for the D50. It's a very thin glass and makes the LCDs easy to read and see - no glare, much better than the thin plastic films. 5

[Glass] My camera goes almost everywhere with me. Therefore it takes some abuse. However, I want my LCD screen to stay clean and scratch free. The Giotto Screen Protector has done just that. This one replaces another that has deep scratches from use. Using nothing but a hair dryer and my hands, the screen was replaced in less than 5 minutes. I really like this product. 5
