A: Yes, you can use the clamp for your purpose.

A: Standard 1/4 20 and 3/8 16 threaded holes. Be warned though: this mount is NOT intended for mounting heavy items. I snapped off the retaining pin on this unit when I overtightened it on a tripod with a SmallHD DP7 on it. I am a bit of an overtightener, but I was still surprised. If you want to be able to CRANK something down and have it hold weight, go with the Manfrotto Super Clamp. A LOT more weight and bulk, but I have never seen one break, ever... I still use this to mount GoPro cams, mics, small lights, etc. But I went back the the Super Clamp for my monitors mounts. Just not willing to put an $1800 piece of gear on one anymore. Good to have a couple in your kit at this price though.

Q: 7. Can you use these magnets with smaller LED COB lights like the amaran 200x without damaging the circuitry of the light?

A: The Oben Magnetic Mount with 3/8"-16 Mounting Screw (100 lb) is designed to be used with cameras and camcorders. If it will not damage those, it should not damage a small light.

[0.01 lb] Wow, how can I better express the quality of this screw? Unusual, yes, but if you need just this type of screw, this is it. The photo doesn't begin to show its qualities, the shininess, the rigidity, and yes, the length! In all seriousness, the screw did just what I wanted. I am using it to attach a ball head to a 3rd party arca swiss clamp. 5

This is the perfect size to hold a MiniMagLite from a Giottos MH 1004 ballhead on a Manfrotto 237 flex arm anchored by a SuperClamp.The clamp also holds rigid reflectors, subjects...magnifying glasses....anything requiring a clamp at the end of a stick.It is an attractive clamp - almost elegant.The only con is the price..... 5

[0.01 lb] My several older Gitzo heads came with 1/4-20 mounting screws. This 3/8 works the same and fits perfectly in these not current Gitzo heads. It gives me the flexibility to use these heads with other equipment I have. Great, fast shipping as usual from B & H. 5
