Q: 1. I have a Nikon 200mm f4 Micro Lens... will a P20 Quick Release Plate by Wimberley work with my Wimberley Gimbal Version ll?Does the P10 Quick Release Plate by Wimberley use two screws for attachment to my Nikon 200mm f4 Micro Lens?

A: According to Wimberley's plate compatibility chart, the P10 would be the ideal plate for your Nikon 200mm f/4.Micro. Both the P10 and P20 will work with the Wimberley Gimbal Version ll, and will include safety stop screws to prevent loosening of the plate. These will be separate from teh 1/4-20 screw that is also included with each model.

Q: 2. Can I attach my canon EOS 5D mark III to this?

A: I do all the time on my 5D MIII. You just have to move the plate around for the pin to fit.

Q: 3. Will this fit the A7R2 and the A6400 ?

A: The Gitzo Quick Release Plate for Sony Alpha Cameras is designed for use with Sony's slightly larger a7-series and a9 Mirrorless Digital Camera. It may fit the a6400, but do note the a6400 has a smaller body size and the tripod socket is not in the same place as on the larger cameras, so tne Anti-Twist flange may not align properly, but it should fit on the camera. It will work on the Sony Alpha a7R II Mirrorless Digital Camera.

Q: 4. Is it compatible with RRS clamps ?

A: yes

Q: 5. Will this plate fit for Sony e mount 70-200mm lens on Really right stuff BH50 ball head?

A: I dont see why not. It works with all my heads

Q: 6. What is the length of this plate?

A: The length is not listed as it is designed specifically to work with GH03/GH06/GH08/GH10 Heads manufactured after 8/2015.

Q: 7. IS THE P-30 COMPATIBLE WITH CANON 400 MM F4 LENS?

A: Their website recommends a P-20 lens plate for the Canon 400 f/4 DO lens. They did tell me that you could use a slightly longer plate if you wish.

Q: 8. What is the best lens plate to use with the Nikon 200-500 lens and MeFoto road trip tripod?

A: The Wimberley website says to use the P-30 for the Nikon 200-500 lens. That is what I use and it works fine. The P-20 is for other lenses.

Q: 9. How long does the screw extend above the plate? I have a similar product from competitor but the screw is too short (about 4.2mm) to hold well on my Sigma 70-200.

A: Wimberley has created a reference guide for which plate is recommended for each lens, which can be found here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/356150.pdf According to the guide, the P10 is the recommended plate for the Sigma 70-200mm lens. Here is a link to the P10 plate: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/205333-REG/Wimberley_P_10_P10_Quick_Release_Plate.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 10. if i mount this on to my canon 70-200 f2.8L IS II on a ballhead, would I be able to fit the Vello CB-600 Straight Flash Bracket on the front of the plate?

A: At least my Wimberley quick release plate does not have threads in the (appropriate size) round holes that it has. Therefore I can not directly connect my (old Hama) flash bracket plate under it. I could connect it through the holes by using an additional bolt with washer and nut. (I hope I understood the intended configuration right.)

[Aluminum] I didn't think I'd ever find a plate for my D5500 that won't twist. This works great and doesn't get in the way of the articulating LCD at all.

It was good to find this for a camera that isn't going to get the attention of the big Arca-Swiss plate makers.

I'm hoping this is also generic enough to fit other small cameras since the lip on the back is just enough to keep it from twisting.

[Aluminum] This plate is so helpful for the Sony cameras. It has a small lip on it to prevent the camera from drifting when in the vertical position on the tripod. This is a must for Sony cameras. Bought two ( one for each camera

[Aluminum] I needed an Arca-Swiss compatible plate for my F6, so I chatted with B&H. They actually had an employee try out several possibilities, and then recommended this one. As promised, it fits perfectly.

[Aluminum] One of the major design flaws (in my opinion) of the X-T20 is the placement of the tripod plate mount being so incredibly close to the battery door. This makes access to your battery compartment (which also houses the memory card, btw) very difficult with practically any other tripod plate mounted to it (first world problems, #amiright ?) This plate solves all of my problems, with the added bonus of shifting the mount directly under the lens (for those OCD peoples out there). Well designed, and solidly built, the "lips" on either side of the "camera facing" portion of the mount cradle the camera perfectly, eliminating "off center" attachment (shoutout #2 for the OCDer's).

In all seriousness, great mount for any X-T20 users who frequently use tripods (and prefer a tripod mount constantly fixed to the camera).
