A: Yes that lens will fit attached to your D7100 body with this backpack. You could even attach a battery grip to the body if you wanted to.

Q: 3. Where is the laptop compartment located on this backpack?For example, when you wear it is it right on your back or on the upper compartment furthest away?

A: The laptop compartment (tightly accommodates my 15 Macbook Pro) sits far away from my back when wearing he backpack. Technically, there is a small zippered compartment (shown with the Ruggard logo on it) that is furthest away. This pack accommodates an amazing amount of gear (granted it can be heavy when loaded), but I love it.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Nikon D3200 and a Sigma 100-400 lens?

A: Yes, it can manage that.

Q: 5. Is the waist belt removable?

A: No it is not removable, however it has a dedicated slot into which you can neatly tuck the waist belt and get it completely out of the way when not in use. I didn't know this at first and used an elastic band to hold the waist belt together, the bulkiness of the belt was very awkward and did not allow for a comfortable carry. All of this was corrected when i discovered the waist belt dedicated slot. the bag now carries nicely.

Q: 6. Does this qualify as Carry On Luggage for air travel?

A: United dimensions are 9 X 14 X 22 The dimensions of this bag are 9.5 x 13 x 20 So, depth MIGHT get you, but typically airlines allow for a TOTAL circumference , Im which case youre clear 2.5 So, YMMV, literally

Q: 7. This bag looks very familiar to the TT StreetWalker Pro. Has anyone compared the two?

A: They are similar bags but the manufacturers have designed them differently. This Ruggard Thunderhead 75 DSLR & Laptop Backpack is a larger bag than the ThinkTank Photo StreetWalker Pro V1 Backpack, and more expensive too.

Q: 8. Will these work with the new explore v2 backpacks?

A: No. The following unit is for Shimoda Designs Action X30 Backpack, Action X50 Backpack, or Action X70 Backpack.

Q: 9. Are the interior dimensions listed in the Specs referring to the space in the main compartment or does it also include the laptop space? It says the interior is 6.5" deep.

A: Ruggard Thunderhead 75 DSLR & Laptop Backpack internal dimensions of 19.5 x 12 x 6.5" are only for the main compartment. The dimensions for the laptop pocket is separate and does not affect the depth of the main compartment.

Q: 10. What are the torso lengths that this pack will fit? A very important consideration packs with waist belts!

A: Each belt on either side is 24" which in total when buckled will give you 48" or 4' in diameter for the belt.

[Tech Panels] This product was very good compared to what I expected in every aspect. The pocket sizes were great for my small items (cell phone, wallet, pencil case, iPod, headphones, and etc.), the strap was comfortable, and the laptop pocket inside was made very well that I feel confident my computer will be safe. The design was also attractive so few of my peers have asked me about the backpack and I suggested this backpack to several peers. 5

[Black] great product over all. awesome look and great feel. so far so good. could of used at least one more small pocket though...lolIf your buying for a 15.4" macbook pro...go for the bigger sized backpack. it works best. can fit MBP inside it's protective case inside the backpack pocket/compartment. 5

[Tech Panels] Overall, A very good product. I love the design and material and workmanship. However, since it was advertised as bag for laptops, you should have included a slot or compartment for it's accessories, e.g. power cord and/or adapter. There were no slots for pens or pencils. Biggest drawback was that, for me, it was not a very comfortable bag to use. The straps could have had more padding. But mainly the straps were too wide so that the bag did not rest comfortably on my shoulders. I'm a small person and I can only guess that it was designed for larger persons with much wider shoulders. I would recommend this bag, but not for smaller people. 5

[Tech Panels] Love the backpack. It is much more comfortable to wear than the previous backpack that I had. Carrying my laptop, and art supplies to school used to really hurt my back, and I can wear this bag for hours, and another plus is that it is simple and stylish. I wish that it was a little larger. In my old backpack I could fit a lot more things, but maybe I should have bought a bigger size. Overall, it is a wonderful bag. 5

[Tech Panels] I bought this product about 5 years ago and it has proved durable, stylish and efficient. I am about to buy another, there is finally a slight fraying at the edges and I use it for work (5 days a week). Best thing is the pockets enough not too many and discrete making it good for work. With side pockets for easy access. I cannot recommend this enough, bought the smaller one for my sister she thinks its great too. 5

[Black] I use this product on a daily basis to carry my laptop, textbooks, and other school accessories to and from classes. The straps are very supportive and adjust easily, the laptop case component is sturdy and well integrated, and the various compartments are all well organized and suited for my purposes. Even the zipper pouches for drinks are sturdy and a nice touch. This backpack can hold a lot of things at one time but doesn't protrude from my back very much, either. It is my favorite backpack ever. 5
