The Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 Kit for Blackmagic URSA Minifrom Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 Kit for Blackmagic URSA Minicombines with different interchangeable Bright Tangerine riser blocks and dovetail plates for compatibility with multiple different cameras, tripods, and gimbals. The optional riser blocks provide the correct optical height for each camera and can be swapped in as needed.

The LeftField 3 Baseplate Core attaches to any ARRI-standard dovetail or the Bright Tangerine Left Field ARRI-Style Dovetail Plate. Using Bright Tangerine's Open•Up quick release system, it allows you to quickly switch between shoulder rigs, tripods, gimbals, and other camera supports such as the KASBAH shoulder pad. It also features a sliding, locking base that helps achieve optimal balance wherever you mount it.

The Baseplate Core provides front and rear 15mm LWS rod mounts for attaching accessories. Other LeftField components, such as side plates, supports, and grips can be attached to dedicated mounting threads to build up a full cage.

A: The V mount plate that is included is a backplate that can be installed directly to the back of the camera. Unfortunately, the Gold Mount plate we have can only be attached to the 15mm rails. If you can accept that, feel free to contact us at 714-838-8838 and we can further discuss if we can get you a customized kit with the Gold Mount plate.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the bmd viewfinder

A: Hello No at this stage with out a 3rd part connection our cage will not take the standard View finder

A: The Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 Base Kit for RED KOMODO is not compatible with the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO-X 6K Digital Cinema Camera (Canon RF, Black).

Q: 5. Is it possible to use this with another companies baseplate (as in the part that connects to the camera)? Not the left field

A: For the Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 KASBAH Shoulder Pad + 15mm LWS/15mm Studio Handle Kit, we would only recommend using the Bright Tangerine Leftfield baseplates, as each part is specifically designed to work with the Leftfield ecosystem. While other dovetail clamps, may work with one or 2 parts, they likely will not connect properly with the mounting screws for the shoulder pad.

Q: 6. This may be a dumb question but can it be slightly rotated without being unscrewed?

A: The handgrip uses a standard ARRI style rosette. It may be loosened and rotated without removing.

Q: 7. Will this communicate with the 6k pro?

A: The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Handgrip is only for the URSA Mini and Mini Pro. It does not work with the Pocket cameras.

Q: 8. Will this work with the URSA Broadcast?

A: Yes, the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Handgrip will work with the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast Camera.

Q: 9. Will this work with Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 ARRI BUD Compatible 15mm LWS Baseplate Core?

A: While the Bright Tangerine Manfrotto & RS 4 Riser for LeftField 15mm Baseplate (RED KOMODO/KOMODO-X) is technically compatible with the Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 ARRI BUD Compatible 15mm LWS Baseplate Core, you would not be able to use both the BUD system and DJI simultaneously.

Q: 10. Will this work with the Zacuto Z finder made for the FX6?

A: The Bright Tangerine Mini Axl Kit for Sony FX6 would not be compatible with the Zacuto Sony FX6 Z-Finder.

[ARRI Dovetail] Really loving this system so far. The dovetail plate is super secure with a great quick release. I mostly started looking at this because of the top hand brace, which always seemed like a weak part of the fx6 if you plan to load it with extras. Adds rigidity all around with convenient mounting points. 5

[0.725 lb] This is THE solution for add rods to your komodo and being able to go from tripod to handheld in literally 2 seconds. The latch design is perfect and clamps down tightly to your dovetail plate. The placement of the tightening knobs for the rods is nice. I was initially going to go with the 8Sinn baseplate but after careful review I noticed that the knobs for tightening the rods interfere with the other knobs. In my opinion, I saw this as a possible hinderance to the ease of use I was looking for as I'm regularly in fast paced situations where struggling with any piece of gear is unacceptable. If you can afford it, you won't regret it. Its a deceptively simple tool but a must if you care about your gear working flawlessly and not worrying about fiddling around with the quirkiness that can come from some of the cheaper solutions. 5

[Baseplate] BMD is going to love how their Ursa Mini Pro G2 is performing with the Add on SSD Recorder. Coupled with the Angelbird AV Pro 1Tb SSD, the attributes are many, and the problems, non existent from my experience. And the work flow integration, the cost savings comparatively to CFast Media, and the uninterrupted recording time, are all just so favorable. Yes, in absolute terms, the AV Pro Media SSD IS not inexpensive, by any stretch of the imagination. But when you move from raw dollar evaluation to the value of the overall contribution, it is making in so many various ways, there is no comparison in my perspective. The Anglebird AV Pro in tandem with the BMD SSD RECORDER, It is a a significant force that has been added to the Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K G2 Camera. I don’t see it every being taken off my camera. 5

[ARRI Dovetail] The FX6 stock monitor arm is garbage. This BT arm is superb. You can mount the FX6 monitor in absolutely any position with the extra reach, and it's rock solid. Zero regrets about this purchase. 5

[0.725 lb] I had originally bought the standard komodo baseplate from Bright Tangerine but realized it only had one screw and would twist on the camera showing off alignment of my matte box etc. This DJI version has tabs that fit into the base of the komodo and prevent twisting. It does cost more but is so much better. 5

[ARRI Dovetail] First camera cage system from BT and it's awesome. I bought the original Kasbah system alongside the Misfit kick back in the day and was impressed by the functionality, quality, and their efforts to keep things light weight while still strong/solid. When it came time to get a cage for the Burano, I knew I wanted to try BT over the other options that were first to market apon its launch. The side rails connecting top and bottom inspire confidence for mounting things pretty much anywhere on the rig. The sliding top plate is slick, I'm getting another one for quick swaps to my movi alongside a BUD plate for the bottom. The D handle is solid and comfy. Paired with my Kasbah shoulder rig, its the quickest to build and comfiest to shoulder all day compared to other systems I've tried/built in my AC days. You won't regret it! Also the customer service is TOP with BT. They just called me within 15 mins to get clarification on a support email I sent regarding plate compatibility. Who does that these days?! 5

[0.725 lb] Is it expensive? Yes. It is flawless and perfect? Yes. I just love everything about it. My only maybe SLIGHT complaint, is I wish it had some Rosette mounts in this kit, but I easily added the BT side plate to finish it out! 5
