The silver, 72mm Kase KW Revolution Magnetic CPL Filter 72mm Silver Ringis part of Kase's color-coded KW Revolution filter system, based on the earlier Wolverine series and fully compatible with Wolverine filters. The KW Revolution system features CPL and different grades of ND filters, all with color-coded filter frames for easy identification and swapping. The CPLs, including this 72mm circular polarizer, are color-coded silver.

This circular polarizing filter helps reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflections. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from nonmetallic surfaces and increased saturation of skies and foliage.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will I get vignetting if I stack multiple filters? Should I get a size larger than my lens to avoid that?

A: It depends how wide the lens is. If you are using very wide lens such as 16mm on a full frame camera the more filters you stack from the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (82mm) the more likely you are too get vignetting. That Kase filter kit does have an inlaid adapter ring, that helps to reduce vignetting if the lens is not super wide, for example 28mm on full frame. But even in 28mm if you stack too many filters you may get vignetting. If you are planning on stacking multiple filters on a wide lens it is better to get a filter holder as that allows you to use 100mm wide filters, and that will reduce the chance of vignetting like this Nisi V7. https://bhpho.to/36m5ssY

Q: 2. Do the Wolverine step up adapters work with the Revolution filters?

A: Yes the Kase Wolverine magnetic step up rings are compatible with both the Wolverine and Revolution lines of filters.

Q: 3. Which matte box do you recommend that fits 67 mm Kase revolution that suits a sony zv-e10 and takes rectangular filters?

A: The SmallRig Mini Matte Box Lite (BH #SM3575) would allow you to use a rectangular filter in addition to the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (67mm) when shooting with the Sony ZV-E10 Mirrorless Camera (Black), BH #SOZVE10B.

Q: 4. what are the differences between the KASE Revolution and Wolverine filter lines?

A: Here are 3 main improvements in Revolution: 1. The front Ring is threaded so you can place a conventional pinch lens cap on it, you cannot with Wolverine, indeed you can screw a conventional filter on top of it if you so desire. 2. The Revolution filters are color coded to make them easy to find in your camera bag. 3. Revolution has the optional inlaid adapter, which screws down inside the lens's filter ring instead of staying on top. Wolverine won't work with the inlaid adapter. Every Revolution set comes with the 2 adapters, conventional & inlaid. Most Revolution individual filters just have a conventional adapter, except for R-MCUV which has both.

Q: 5. If my largest lens requires an82mm filter, can I purchase this kit and a set of step up rings to cover filter use on all others?

A: Yes, you can use step rings to place these filters on the smaller diameter lenses, but keep in mind that it should be magnetic Kase Step rings like this https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1512731-REG/kase_kw_msp_7782_magnetic_adapter_ring_step.html of appropriate size. We also recommend to have these wrenches when you work with filters and specifically step rings. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1407949-REG/sensei_62_72mm_rubberized_filter_wrench.html

Q: 6. Can you use the lens hood when these filters are attached?

A: The filters and rings available with Kase KW Revolution Mega Set do not protrude outside the 72mm diameter therefore the dedicated lens hood could be attached on the lens bayonet.

Q: 7. I have 67 and 72mm lens. I want to purchase this 72mm revolution Nd. Will it work with Kase Wolverine 67-72 step up rings?

A: Yes, the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (72mm) will connect to the Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (67 to 72mm). Please open the link below if you would like to review the step-up ring: https://bhpho.to/36bjFEm

Q: 8. Can I use a regular step-up ring to attach this to a 77mm lens?

A: Yes, you can use a standard step up ring from 77 to 82, then attach the adapter ring that comes with the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (82mm) and then you will be able to attach the magnetic filters.

Q: 9. I can’t find extra standard adapters for the revolution 77mm kit, or do you buy the wolverine adapter for your extra lenses?

A: To use the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (77mm) on additional lenses with 77mm threads, get the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring (77mm), BH #KAMAR77MM.

Q: 10. Is this the latest system from kase as if 2023 or is this an older kit? I want to get the latest and greatest.

A: The Kase KW Revolution Entry Kit (82mm) is a great entry set for the "Revolution" series of filters. The KW Revolution filters are made with shock-resistant and water-resistant optical glass that's durable and easy to clean, and that doesn't cause any color cast. In addition to being front-threaded, magnetic adapters. This gives them an edge over their "Wolverine" series filters.

[Glass] I've added these adapter rings (inset version) to all of my lenses making the system fast when changing lenses.

*Warning* This inlaid ring 'may' drop down below the threaded section of your lens making it unusable and it's a little difficult to retrieve. Found this with my Canon RF100-500mm L lens. I replaced this inlaid ring with the standard Kase magnetic ring adapter and it's perfect. Stopping installation of the inlaid ring at the edge of the lens body will of course prevent this, but it's not very secure.

[Aluminum] Adapters for every lens filter threads, so you're ready to go no matter which filter you choose. I have an adapter on each of my main lenses. No screwing and unscrewing to use the filters on different lenses.

[Aluminum] The Kase Magnetic filter kit is well made, easy to use on location, and fast for filter changes.
I have used screw on filters for years and this is a real improvement. I highly recommend this product.

[0.22 lb] If you’re going to switch to magnetic filters, it’s worth having an adapter on every lens so you can swap filters quickly with your whole kit. This version is the most slim combo as it screws down inside the lens threads instead of sitting on top like an extra filter. I’ve threaded mine into existing screw in UV filters I keep on at all times for protection. Works great.

[5 x 4.3 x 0.8"] I own the Kase Revolution Pro ND filter kit and this UV filter is made to work with the kit. Like all the Kase products I own, this is well made and easy to attach to the lens. I will be buying more of these for the rest of my lens.

[Glass] I bought this to go with the 900MM Tokina Mirror lens- and it did the job nicely. My plan to shoot the eclipse was eclipsed (see what I did there) by mother nature opting to lay a heavy dose of cloud cover above us in Hondo Texas, so my main goal was not achieved. But I will be using it on other solar situations, so I am not concerned.

[5 x 4.3 x 0.8"] I RARELY write reviews on B&H and I'm picking up items biweekly. But I must say I love the ND Kit. The magnet helps make take off the ND filter when I move from outdoors to indoors which is very useful. Also, the cap stay on magnetically too. I variable ND looks great in sunny weather so you can open up the aperture wide and get great bokeh. A great investment. I took them to Niagara Falls and got great footage and pics with my S5IIX.The case is also a great addition. I got them for my sigma 24-70mm art lens. I plan on purchasing a 67mm kit for my Lumix 35mm and 50mm l-mount lens.

[5 x 4.3 x 0.8"] I really like this filter system. My use case is landscape photography, especially with water. I makes it extremely easy to add and stack ND filters to taste for a scene. I can have one set of filters and then magnetic rings and magnetic adapters to use on multiple lenses. I am happy with the purchase.

One negative is the case that comes with it. It has plenty of slots (extras to add more filters), however the closure is not very secure. The closure is magnetic but takes some fiddling to line up, and I do not feel confident in it. Not a show stopper, but certainly something that could be improved on.
