[Aluminum, Steel] It's got plenty of cold shoe mounting points and plenty of threaded points as well.

[Aluminum, Steel] This cage works great for the C70, it comes with the bracket to bold to the RF/EF Speed Booster. I was able to clamp a second lav to the cage. I like that its minimal with JUST enough room for add ons.
I personally added a handle to the left side of the camera. I think the base plate and rail add on is probably worth it if you plan on running V Mount in the future. I'm glad I bought it and wish I had earlier.

[0.085 lb] I had anxiety using the smallrig top plate to connect a top handle, monitor and microphone. All of that weight was pulling on a single screw on top of the C70 cold shoe. I felt it was only a matter of time till it broke. I forked over the extra cash for the Shape cage and I'm glad I did. Now the cage connects via the top screw, bottom two screws and is connected via a side plate. I feel much more secure adding accessories and the hdmi clamp was a big feature for why I chose this cage. The clamp is small, so I cannot use my thick right angle hdmi, I have to use a normal cable. However, it is extremely secure now. Overall, this cage makes me feel more confident using my gear.

[Aluminum, Steel] Up until now I have always gone with a Smallrig cage but I decided to give this a chance only because the Tilta mini mattebox is so great.

[Aluminum, Steel] I think the best thing about this cage is the price... very reasonable! I was at a video association meeting last week and 2 of us had the C70 with us... the other guy had dropped his camera on a recent shoot, and he noticed a nick on the front upper right, but he had NOT noticed that the little red C logo was missing. At that moment I realized that having the Tilta cage is like having a case for your cell phone... the cage protects a good portion of the C70 in case of drops. I use mine with the original Canon handle. Love it!

[0.085 lb] I've tried both the Tilta c70 cage and the Kondor Blue base plate. Both the Kondor Blue base plate and the Shape Camera Cage are excellent choices. The Tilta cage seemed a bit flimsy and there is some movement with it even with the side plate attached to the camera creating an issue with hand-holding the grip and using it with the Ronin RS2 gimbal. The Shape cage does not cover the grip which makes it easy to use with the Ronin RS2. The cage feels very solid mounted onto the camera and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design of the cage and the positions of the mounting locations.

[0.085 lb] This is my 2nd purchase of one of these useful and lightweight cages. They fit the Canon C-70 like a custom glove and make it easy to attach Tilta's mini follow focus.

I've also added a handle and a couple 3rd party cold shoe mounts to them so I'm able to mount an electronic viewfinder and a shotgun mic.

The quality is very good and the price is reasonable.
