A: sorry I'm late !! the shoulder Pad is maybe 2 1/2 inches - but ket me tell you this system is just the best thing i have tried - I use this strap on my 5d Mark iii and also on my 1d mark iv which is the full bodied heavy pro - also I have carried that with a 300 mm prime no problem - i do use two attachment point with bigger lens etc... - also note you do not have to let the camera hang all the way down as shown - you can adjust the Stops to hold the camera up in the center of your chest too - handy when moving thru a crowd or getting on a bus - things like that -- highly recommend this strp and their chest harness is cool too (I like the non strech vers) you just clip from the shoulder strap and clip into the chest strap - works super at sports or concerts

[Black] I bought this quick adjust rosette adapter from tilta because I've been having this problem with the original handles of the smallrig basic shoulder mount kit. It doesn't matter how tight you secure the handles on the rod because depending on the weight of the rig, the handles will twist eventually. Enter the Tilta quick adjust rosette adapter. It doesnt only solve my issue with the twisting but it makes my rig way easier to handle. Low angle no problem, high angle no problem. Easy and quick handle adjustment as the name aptly suggests. Great product. Hope i found it sooner. 5
