[Aluminum] i use it on a Impact 60 Octagonal Softbox, it works well on a Profoto D1, stays on , good fit, good construction. If price is important, this is a very good alternative to the Profoto one. I've used it on the 60 on a mini boom point downwards for days, and it didn't budge, didn't fell weak, and it rotates when you need it to.

[Aluminum] I needed a speed ring for an off-brand softbox for my profotos and this did the job perfectly

[Profoto] I usually use westcott softboxes, but found a special with impact that included a free grid. For connecting the box to the profotos, this worked perfectly

[Aluminum] I was worried when other reviews said they don't fit but the two I just received both fit both B1's and B2's and hold the strip boxes just fine.

[Aluminum] This does what it is supposed to do. Construction is sound, no problems in two months of use.

[10] Equally as functional as the Profoto branded version (in fact, the curved funnel and rubber sleeve/clamp looks as if it was manufactured in the same factory). The rotating ring or flange, into which you insert the rods is certainly less sophisticated than the Profoto, but as functional, with essentially the same choice of angles. In full disclosure, I haven't used Profoto softboxes (preferring mainly Impact and Bowens due to the cost). I don't know if the ends of Profoto rods are any different to the others, but I suspect not. Either way, my other brand softboxes fit into the Impact ring and rotate just as well as they do into the Profoto. I have four Impact speed rings in total and one Profoto, which I purchased because I couldn't imagine that it wasn't much better than the Impact, seeing as it cost almost three times as much (and it's made by Profoto). My D2 lights are by far and away better than any other lights I've used and I'll replace them without hesitation as necessary but really, the impact speedrings are all you need. I suppose I'm going to have to try a Profoto softbox to make sure, aren't I?
