[0.725 lb] Really loving this system so far. The dovetail plate is super secure with a great quick release. I mostly started looking at this because of the top hand brace, which always seemed like a weak part of the fx6 if you plan to load it with extras. Adds rigidity all around with convenient mounting points.

[0.725 lb] Ive been saving up for a Bright Tangerine Revolvr Atom because I wanted something versatile and fast with my set up for a lot of the run and gun shoots that I do. When I first got my package from B&H, my kit was missing the hand wheel piece. I called B&H the next day and they advised me to contact Bright tangerine myself to retrieve the missing piece. Luckily, within 5 minutes of emailing Bright Tangerine with my order mix-up, they had responded and had the hand wheel overnighted to me the very next day. Its great knowing when you buy top quality gear, that the manufacture takes enough pride to offer top quality service as well. I cant wait to see what other film making tools Bright Tangerine will start to make.

[0.725 lb] First camera cage system from BT and it's awesome. I bought the original Kasbah system alongside the Misfit kick back in the day and was impressed by the functionality, quality, and their efforts to keep things light weight while still strong/solid. When it came time to get a cage for the Burano, I knew I wanted to try BT over the other options that were first to market apon its launch. The side rails connecting top and bottom inspire confidence for mounting things pretty much anywhere on the rig. The sliding top plate is slick, I'm getting another one for quick swaps to my movi alongside a BUD plate for the bottom. The D handle is solid and comfy. Paired with my Kasbah shoulder rig, its the quickest to build and comfiest to shoulder all day compared to other systems I've tried/built in my AC days. You won't regret it! Also the customer service is TOP with BT. They just called me within 15 mins to get clarification on a support email I sent regarding plate compatibility. Who does that these days?!

[0.725 lb] Is it expensive? Yes. It is flawless and perfect? Yes.

I just love everything about it. My only maybe SLIGHT complaint, is I wish it had some Rosette mounts in this kit, but I easily added the BT side plate to finish it out!

[0.725 lb] Bright Tangerine was a stretch for me as well - I do not own a Follow Focus kit, yet. This is a review of Rob Eagle in particular.


Rob works for Bright Tangerine. My dealings with Rob were shipping related issues and not Bright Tangerine issues, nor product related issues. Rob was absolutely fantastic to deal with despite the fact that Bright Tangerine was not the cause of my shipping problems.


The Bright Tangerine product, I purchased a C200 cage, is pure quality from one end to the other. Not the least expensive but perhaps the best in the marketplace. It is so wonderful to come across a true quality product as it seems to rarely happen. It is so common to end up with sub-par product and after reading the Revolvr product comments I felt the need to speak up and add my experience.


To sum up... don't have enough coin for this product? Save up a bit longer and then do the buy. The Bright Tangerine product line is nothing but pure pleasure!! And, with people like Rob standing at the ready to provide above and beyond service, you will thank yourself every time you use something from their product line.


Oh yea... buy from B&H. I am not an employee but I have dealt with B&H for a bit over 3 decades now.

[Baseplate] I had originally bought the standard komodo baseplate from Bright Tangerine but realized it only had one screw and would twist on the camera showing off alignment of my matte box etc. This DJI version has tabs that fit into the base of the komodo and prevent twisting. It does cost more but is so much better.

[ARRI Dovetail] This is THE solution for add rods to your komodo and being able to go from tripod to handheld in literally 2 seconds.
The latch design is perfect and clamps down tightly to your dovetail plate. The placement of the tightening knobs for the rods is nice.

I was initially going to go with the 8Sinn baseplate but after careful review I noticed that the knobs for tightening the rods interfere with the other knobs. In my opinion, I saw this as a possible hinderance to the ease of use I was looking for as I'm regularly in fast paced situations where struggling with any piece of gear is unacceptable.


If you can afford it, you won't regret it.
Its a deceptively simple tool but a must if you care about your gear working flawlessly and not worrying about fiddling around with the quirkiness that can come from some of the cheaper solutions.

[ARRI Dovetail] Okay, I might be biased here since I am a fanboy of Bright Tangerine products. We have been waiting on this since 2014, and they finally started shipping. And amazingly this is the best manual follow focus my hands ever touched. The focus wheel is so smooth to the touch, so creamy smooth as a butter melting on your lips. I mean it literally. It is so easy to configure. Packed with so many features. This is a one-sided follow focus. You have the swing arm that comes in two different ratios, this one the cine kit comes with the 1:1.842 ratio for cine lenses. I purchased separately the 1:1 ratio swing arm with this kit as I intend to use it on still lenses as well. The swing arm can go to either side of the bridge.. the kit comes with two different gears that can go on both sides of the swing arm. I picked this over the bigger studio version because of its compact size and lightweight. Two other accessories you might consider to add to your list, the Flexible Handwheel, and the Speed Crank. Two great products that are perfectly machined. Now to the downside, though this partly my mistake but the main selling point for me was that the soft/hard stops on the handwheel. It is a feature they talked about a lot since 2014. It was the biggest selling point for me. The downside is the kit doesn't come with the soft/hard stops. You have to purchase them separately. In my utter confusion, I have no clue why they decided not to include this with the kit. You are buying the kit, and this is a must in every kit. So if you are buying this, just know that you want to add the Soft/Hard Stop to your kit.

[ARRI Dovetail] Bought this to compliment my Leica R 35mm summicron in my Red Scarlet-W. This thing couldn’t be built or designed any better. The rubber “black hole” is a perfect choice if you’re going to be using vintage lenses. Make sure you have some sort of step up ring if your lens has a diameter smaller than 60mm or light will leak. I probably wouldn’t use it with lenses with a diameter larger than 82mm since it’s made of a thin rubber material and it might rip or stretch out too much. Looks miles better than baggy cloth though... The reason I went with the misfit is because I know that if I change lenses or if a client wants to work with other lenses, I can easily buy the other configurations to accommodate whatever I end up using. I know this is more expensive than most matte boxes but it’s worth it since this is the only matte box you will ever need.
