This Red Filter from Nitecore is a flashlight accessory that will fit a light with a 34mm bezel diameter. The filter lens is made of glass and is coated on both sides for enhanced light transmission and heat tolerance. An impact-resistant rubber frame makes this filter durable; it also has an integrated lanyard attachment hole that offers convenient carrying. Since its lens can be removed, this filter can also be used to protect the flashlight bezel.

A: With fresh IMR batteries the light will run in Turbo for 45 minutes before the thermal protection shuts it down.

[0.05 lb] I used this on a streamlight protac xl for night hunting. I wanted a green light but also a normal light for defense use. This was the perfect match and the lanyard hole keeps me from losing it. The color is almost perfectly green with just a slight yellowish tint and it still throws the light about 100 yards compared to about 300 without it. I bought the red one for predator hunting as well. Now I have 3 flashlights in one!! 5

[Red] So far everything is as described. The filter fits my nitecore, with no problem. I do see the need to tie down the filter so I wont lose it on those long hog hunting nights. 5

[Red] This filter will heat up a lot when used with your flashlight, since it is absorbing all wavelength except for red! The brighter your flashlight, the more it will heat up. It is very good for maintaining your night vision at night though. 5

[Glass, Rubber] Fits the Streamlight ProTac HL-X like a glove. Can't comment on durability sine it hasn't seen field use yet but it is well made like other Nitecore filters I own. 5

[Glass, Rubber] Nitecore filter is made of glass, not plastic. I bought all three red, green and blue in preparation for my hunting trip. A simple try at home shows vivid colors with good light transition. 5

[Glass, Rubber] I was primarily interested in this filter to watch owls and other nocturnal animals. Like it! Note that the distance at which you can see an object will be reduced by a factor of 10, compared to white light. This is about 40 m at high power - still enough to spot an animal without blinding it. 5
