Impact Speed Ring Flash Bracket For Quikbox

$119.64 $156.73

The Speed Ring Flash Bracket from Impact is made for the Impact Quikbox. The bracket is vertically adjustable and the cold shoe is adjustable on the horizontal plane. These adjustments allow you to fine tune the bracket to fit most standard speedlights. Some speedlights such as Sony and Minolta may require a shoe adapter. All adjustments are secured by thumb-screws, including the bottom light stand mount.

The cold shoe is removable so that you can mount remote receivers or hot shoes from a TTL cord on the 1/4"-20 threaded screw. Three spacer washers are included to further fine tune adjustments for speedlights or receivers of various sizes.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the inner part that attaches to the Profoto light come off? If so, what are the outer dimensions (across the hole) between the outer edge of the flanges? Reason I ask, I have many PCB softboxes and its proving difficult to find a Profoto adapter. But looking at this, the inner mount with flanges appears like it would fit on the PCB softbox, if its roughly 136mm width.

A: The adapter is designed to work with a specific unit and its exact measurements are not published. However we do know people have tried it with the PCBuff softboxes and it does not work.

Q: 2. What does this weigh?

A: The Impact Quikbox Softbox with Shoe Mount Flash Bracket (24 x 24") BH #IMQB2424 weights 2.8lbs.

Q: 3. Is this compatible with a Fiilex P360 or P360EX?

A: Yes, it is compatible.

Q: 4. We are changing from Bowens to Profoto and i have a lot of Bowens and Godox modifiers, This speedring can be use it with does softboxes with Profoto Lights?

A: In most cases yes this ring will work. Not all boxes however use the standard size. If you find it does not fit do not force it.

Q: 5. Does anyone know if this Impact Speed Ring will fit Paul Buff soft boxes or the Balcar mount?

A: The outer ring of the Impact SR-PRO Speed Ring will fit any brand standard style softbox that uses rods with tips. The inner portion of this speed ring is made to mount onto Profoto products and will not fit Paul C Buff /Balcar products. To mount a standard softbox on a Paul C Buff product, use the Impact SR-PCB Speed Ring. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/884597-REG/impact_sr_pcb_speed_ring_for_paul.html

Q: 6. Will this work with a Broncolor Octabox 150cm?

A: Yes you can use this ring

Q: 7. is it possible to use the quikbox with an Einstein (Paul C Buff) strobe as well as a Speedlight?

A: Unfortunately, this model is limited for use with shoe mount type flashes. However, Lastolite produces the Ezybox II and a speed ring to fit the Einstein strobe. Please see the images below for reference.

Q: 8. Does this product then work with profoto octa soft boxes/modifiers like the profoto rfi speedring or only impact modifiers?

A: This ring would not fit the Profoto pre-RFi or RFi softboxes. However, it would work with softboxes from Chimera, Westcott and Photoflex.

Q: 9. What is the size of the hole for the Flash head??I have a flash (not Canon/Nikon Flash) with big head so I'm not sure if it will fit in..Thank you very much in advance!!

A: I easily fit my Nikon SB800 and SB900 within the hole. The assembly comes with a round mount that slips into the back. That round mount has a rectangular hole for the flash head. The round mount is 5 3/4 inches and the rectangular cutout is 4 1/2 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches tall. I have used this setup quite a bit and it really works well as long as your flash head fits within those dimensions.

Q: 10. Will this fit my Bowens softboxes?

A: I don't know.... I own Larson Soft boxes... And Paul Bluff. They work too. I modified the by omitting the ring with the Larsons.

[Shoe Mount] My original broke in an area difficult to repair with superglue or epoxy. So, I ordered this replacement. It's identical and allows my QuikBox to become fully functional again!

[Metal, Plastic] Beautiful light on subjects close up. I've been very happy with this softbox. Set up takes about 3 minutes. Durable product. Stand can be a little wobbly with a little wind. I didn't see much of a different when used outdoors. But indoors, the light from this box is dramatic and I'm very pleased with the outcome.

[Metal, Plastic] I first purchased another product. But when I found out that it did not work with my Canon Speedlite, I called B&H customer service. As expected, they allowed me to return wrong item and recommended the QuikBox 24x24 by Impact. It's great, works as I was told it would.

[Metal, Plastic] Folds to fit into a very compact, triangular case-- even possible without removing the double baffles. Pops open for a very quick setup. Gives an excellent light for this size softbox. Build quality seems very good.

[0.47 lb] I am new to using a softbox and this is perfect. I allows me to use my existing flash. It is the same as the lastolite box for less money. The kit I purchased came with the stand and everything. I just added my flash. You can't go wrong with this. Just get it.

[Shoe Mount] I primarily bought this softbox for my speedlite because I wanted to control where my light went, I wanted nice soft lighting for portraits and I wanted something portable. I first started shooting off-camera flash with a shoot-through umbrella. I love shooting with an umbrella because it's easy. But I soon found that when I wanted to control where my light was going, I was going to need another modifier, a softbox. What I like about this softbox is that it seems very durable. Popped open, this thing is solid and rigid. I was afraid at first to fold it flat because some of the rods inside didn't feel like they folded correctly to me, but once I figured out what corners to fold it was much easier. Another thing I like is the silver lining in the inside, it sorta gives my flash an extra boost, like it's a tad more powerful than it really is. The bracket that it comes with is very light and made out of durable plastic. One thing to note is that you cannot angle the softbox because the bracket is in a fixed position. That isn't an issue for me because I mount it on a pin at the end of a boom arm which I can point anywhere. I also love that it is meant to be taken places easily. Getting it set up is painless and when it's windy outdoors, this handles it much better than an umbrella. Again, if you own a speedlite, this is a great softbox for it. It provides great soft lighting for portraits. The last shoot I did with this was of two people, 2/3 of the body and this softbox provided more than enough light. Not sure how it would do with lighting full body shots of say 3 or 4 people, but for what I've done so far it is great.
