A: If you are having issues with the compatibility of these 2 products or are speculating on things you have read. The best thing to do would be to contact Akai support and ask them. As the manufacturer they will have far more accurate information than anyone else.

Q: 2. Will this work to control a ATEM Switcher?

A: The Akai Professional APC mini mk2 Compact Performance Controller for Ableton Live (BH # AKAPCMINI2) is compatible only with Ableton Live and cannot control a Blackmagic Design ATEM switcher.

Q: 3. I use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom CC with the MX Master mouse all the time, is this compatible with these programs?

A: No, unfortunately this keyboard is designed for Adobe premier pro, however Logickeyboard does carry versions for Adobe Photoshop AND Lightroom CC that we have on our website.

Q: 4. What sustian pedals does it support?

A: The Akai MPK mini MKII can be used with most sustain pedals that have a standard 1/4" TS connector such as the On-Stage KSP100 (B&H # ONKSP100), Auray - FP-S1L (B&H# AUFPS1L), Auray FP-P1L (B&H# AUFPP1L), or M-Audio - SP-1 (B&H# MASP1). If you click on the tab for "Accessories" on the item page, you'll see a list of options on the left side of the page. Click on the link for "Pedals" and you can view a selection of compatible sustain pedals and other for punch in/punch out that can be used with the MPK mini MKII.

Q: 5. Does it stream in stereo?

A: Yes, the YoloLiv YoloBox Mini Ultra-Portable All-in-One Smart Live Streaming Encoder & Monitor will output a stereo audio feed if stereo audio is being feed to the monitor.

A: This controller will come with a standard USB cable. If your Mac computer requires a USB-C type connection, i would recommend also getting an Apple USB Type-C to USB Type-A Adapter, BH #APMJ1M2AMA.

Q: 7. Can the MPC II stream multiple tracks via USB into Ableton?

A: This is a stand-alone music producton workstation, but you can record into the MPC 2.0 software, and then exporting the files individually into Ableton. If you only have a few tracks, you can use the MPC 2.0 software as a plugin to Ableton.

Q: 8. What Downloadable Music Creation Software does this come with?

A: MPK mini comes bundled with Hybrid 3, by AIR Music Tech, SONiVOXs Wobble, and MPC Essentials.

[Black] I'm using this controller with Ableton and it was very quick and easy to setup (my unit already had the latest firmware update too, which was nice). There's a program on the unit for Ableton which again made controlling aspects within the DAW seamless. It's obviously small (only 25 keys), but having the pads and encoders on such a compact unit is great. Fits right on my desk and lets me edit/perform parameters live, and is easy to throw into my bag and take with me. Only downside is that there's no midi out (just usb). So means I can't use with some hardware synths. But for DAW control, fantastic. 5

[Black] I picked the Launchpad X up thinking it would work for several Max4Live instruments designed for the original Launchpad which, sad to say, it wasn't. I decided to keep it, thinking it would be a good supplement to my Ableton Push 1 but I didn't realize that, because of its convenient size, good velocity-sensitive pads, and clear labels that I'd be using it MORE than my Push. Specifically, when creating at my computer workstation I am used to getting up and walking over to a full-size 88-key controller or standing up to maneuver to my Push. Now, I have a (separately acquired) 25 mini-keys controller and this Launchpad X which I can, owing to long USB cables, bring to me rather than me going to them. The pads are more sensitive than those on the Push 1 but they are also less prone to false-triggering which means I can play them longer and more consistently. The clear (and limited) labels on the Launchpad X also mean I spend a lot less time hunting for functions compared to the Push. Switching from Session to Notes view, changing key and scale, and instant access to Ableton's Capture MIDI function have all been unexpected enhancements to my creativity. Does it replace my Push? No -but it's addressed ways my studio and using my Push have previously slowed my process down. 5

[Black] Great product/instrument. Learning curve, if you're first time user, may be a little daunting, but be patient. So many levels to transform your sound. And it can attach to SO many different music platforms that makes its user interface customizable to your preference. Highly recommend 5

[Black] First, I have long admired Midi Controllers, Keyboards, Effects, and everything associated with digital music creation. There are several reviews out there by amazing creators with more detailed information, but after watching all of them, then pulling the trigger on this one, it was worth it. The build quality is nice, the feel of the pads is premium, and adjustments are quickly made. Plug and play, for the most part, depending on the DAV or website software you use. If you are looking for a little larger keyboard/Midi controller, this one should be at the top of your list, and it's only $60 more (at the time of writing this) than the AKAI MPK Mini, so what's stopping you? 5

[Black] Recently started doing some VJ work and grabbed this to pair with Resolume Arena software for functions for visuals to the different buttons/knobs/sliders. It works great and its sturdy. The rubber grib on the bottom keeps it in place and there is just enough tension/resistance in the sliders/buttons and knobs to not feel loose or worn out. I also Grew up playing any instrument I could get my hands on but living in an apartment in NYC its not as easy to get away with playing trumpet or some of the louder instruments and I had never used Abelton Live but with this Controller it made it pretty easy to just jump right in. For the price especially this is a great starter piece or addition to your current set up. 5
