The Lectrosonics DNT16i - 16 Channel Dante Processorfrom Lectrosonics DNT16i - 16 Channel Dante Processoris a processor that provides inputs into a Dante network from analog and digital signals. Each input provides extensive signal processing and routing to any one or all of forty-eight automatic mixers operating at the cross points of an internal digital matrix in the processor.

The outputs of the matrix can be assigned to a Dante transmit channel and/or routed back to an input to be further mixed with another input or matrix mix.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this rack compatible for mounting Tascam VS-R265?

A: Yes, Tascam specifies the Tascam 1-RU Rack-Mountable Shelf for Dante Compact Processor Series (AK-RS1) as a compatible option for mounting two Tascam VS-R265 units side by side.

Q: 2. Is the fan noisy?

A: The fan in this module should offer quiet operation.

Q: 3. This unit says it has 8-channel AES inputs. Does it also have 8-channel AES outputs?

A: AES3 digital audio output is available as a 4- or 8-channel option for the Ashly ne8800A Network Enabled Digital Signal Processor. The AES3 outputs are pass-through only (no DSP).

Q: 4. How much latency does the Adat to Dante conversion introduce? And how much latency is expected end to end between devices?

A: Ferrofish has not provided specifications for latency, however, they do offer some information regarding clocking provided by Dante and the ability to adjust latency: Dante provides reliable clocking via Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and a sophisticated clock master selection. It supports low latency operation which is adjustable from 150 microseconds to 5 ms (default: 1 ms for up to 10 switches). Dante includes a suite of diagnostic tools, monitoring the network health status, e. g. device latency monitoring, active clock health monitoring, packet error reporting, and usage statistics.

Q: 5. Where is the FX16ii manufactured?

A: The country of manufacture for the Soundcraft FX16ii 16-Channel Mixer with Built-In Lexicon Effects Processor is China.

Q: 6. Will the AVOI 1 Input adapter accept a 25 or 70 volt signal direct from a power amp or do you need to adapt it to a line level ?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel Analog Input Adapter is used to connect a line level output signal from an analog device to a Dante audio network.

Q: 7. Wanted to verify this will work with Playback from Multitrack running on a 2020 MacBook running on an SQ5?

A: This will add Dante netorking to the SQ consoles and work with any other device on your Dante network.

Q: 8. is this for a home studio use?

A: not a home studio, but a distributed network in a church. they sent audio from their main mixing console to other rooms/locations

Q: 9. whats is the warranty ?

A: The Lectrosonics DM1612 is covered by a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Q: 10. What is the MuxLab part number for the DC Power Supply recommended for this? 12V DC brick when used without a POE network switch

A: MuxLab do not make a proprietary DC Power Supply for the MuxLab Dante/Quad Channel Audio PoE Gateway however, any 12VDC, 1A (amp) minimum power supply with positive polarity will provide sufficient power when using without a POE (PSE) Ethernet switch.

[2 lb] This unit is great for getting 2 channels of audio into your Dante network. Just be sure you have Power Over Ethernet, either from your switch or from an injector, and off you go!

[2 lb] I have had this 2 input Dante Unit AVIO for about 6 months now.  I have only used it in the studio and it has been a nice functional piece adding Dante to a stereo channel rack mic preamp unit reliably and without any issues.  I can say I originally tried a cheap POE injector from online and it didnt work. but works just fine with my Cisco SG300 router with POE.  I do wish they made 4 channel versions as well or even an 8 on the input end, to reduce the need for lots of router channels.  Otherwise, great sounding and so far rock solid.

It Great & better than Dante box i has been used before.

[25 x 15 x 7"] Most important - Easy and quick setup.

This is being used on a Midas M32. The AVIO uses 2 channels such as 7 & 8 that will need to be linked.

It does require Dante virtual soundcard for pc or mac and you will need Dante controller (free) for mapping the channels needed.

This requires POE.
