The Lectrosonics DNTBOB 88 - Dante Audio I/O Interfacefrom Lectrosonics DNTBOB 88 - Dante Audio I/O Interfaceis a high quality, general purpose interface for transmitting and receiving line level analog audio signals via a Dante network. Analog inputs are converted to digital and appear on the network as transmit channels.

Audio on the analog outputs is available from other source that input to the transmit channels on the network. When connected to a network, each break out box will appear as a separate device in the Dante Controller software interface.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the DT Preamp Control app be updated to support making changes to units enrolled in a Dante Domain (DDM/Director)?

A: The Allen & Heath DT168 16x8 Dante/AES67 Audio I/O Expander (BH # ALAHDT168) may have future updates that have not yet been announced. Please navigate to Allen-Heath.com to view all available DT Preamp control updates.

Q: 2. Will the REDNET A16R MKll work with the Focusrite R1 monitor controller?

A: Yes, the Focusrite RedNet A16R MkII Rackmount 16x16 Dante Analog Audio Interface is compatible for use with the Focusrite RedNet R1 Desktop Remote Controller for Red Interfaces / Dante Devices.

Q: 3. Can you route (via Dante Controller) separately to Headphone and Line Out? As in, are they separate Dante Receivers, or do you send it one signal and both headphone and line out get the same signal?

A: The AM2 has 2 channel I/O which means you can both listen to , and monitor 2 Dante channels. There is no way to split them up between the headphone out and line out.Thank you for your question.

Q: 4. Does this box provide clock as a leader?

A: No, the Allen & Heath DT20 Dante Input Interface with Power Supply does not provide any clock leader functionality.

Q: 5. What is the latency? How do we get clock if using both madi in/ out. How do I get a demo of this product?

A: This is a high quality audio interface with extremely low latency. The MADI input would be the master clock in your set up, and you would have almost zero percent latency. RME does not provide an exact number for latency.

Q: 6. Hi there, my question is, how to connect these to speakers? Jeffri

A: The Audix DN4 Dante AES67 Integrated Microphone System Interface BH #AUDN4 will connect to an amplifier/DSP with AES67 Dante connections.

Q: 7. Does the I/O DB25 XLR cables come with the unit?

A: No I/O cables are include with this unit. You would need to purchase the proper I/O cables based on what gear you are connecting to this.

Q: 8. Hi. How can I use this as a desktop interface. What extra gear do I need to buy to just be able to connect it to my Mac and use as a desktop interface. Thx.

A: This does not connect to your computer via USB like other interfaces. This runs on Dante, so you would need an unmanaged network switch like this one to be able to connect it to your computer. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1499551-REG/netgear_gs308_300pas_gs308_8_port_gigabit_ethernet.html

Q: 9. Does the included power supply for the DT20 have switchable American and UK plugs?

A: Yes, the Allen & Heath DT20-X Dante Input Interface with Power Supply comes with switchable American and UK plugs.

Q: 10. Can I use this with a non-A&H mixer since it uses the Dante standard? If so, is there a way to control the preamp gain/+48v phantom power?

A: Yes, the Allen & Heath DT168 16x8 Dante/AES67 Audio I/O Expander can be used with Dante-enabled devices other than those made by Allen & Heath. Control of the preamp parameters on the DT168 can be done with a Mac or PC running A&H's DT Preamp Control software.

[Dante] I'm using this to get audio out of an Amazon Echo into my AoIP network. Works great!

[48 kHz] As I am upgrading my production machines to apple silicon, I was in need of a new high channel count Dante interface for my virtual soundcheck machine. This installed and configured with zero issues, recording 128 channels at 96k, also using prodcom for speech to text for talkback mics on an M1 Mac mini. Flawless. Highly recommend. The fact that Dante Controller is also able to utilize this as a NIC is a huge plus over the now obsolete Dante accelerator card.

[48 kHz] This has been a great way to get IEM outputs to backline musicians via Dante. The power over ethernet function is great so you aren't having to worry about a power supply. I have had no complaints from musicians.

[15 VDC, 800 mA] Works exactly as expected. Plug it in and it's automatically recognized in Dante Controller. We used it to send audio from a basement production room audio console to an ATEM constellation located upstairs. Since the network infrastructure was in place, saved me the hassle of pulling new wire.

[15 VDC, 800 mA] This is a very high end Dante interface sample rates up to 192khz
The latency of this unit is extremely good I run all Ubiquity network to 5 rooms
And the latency is only 187 microseconds not milliseconds I’m using 12
Channels out
If you register the warranty online it turns it from 1 year to 2 years
I highly recommend this interface
