Q: 1. What, if any, are the differences between this and the "BH #MAMBPLLW97W2 / MFR #MB PL-LW-97W-2" besides the overall length (5 inches)? Would like to know if there's anything else I should consider in choosing between the two...

A: The main difference is in the size of the two cases.

Q: 2. Can you take off the small ball head mount for camera....I would like to try with FS7 body (8lbs)?

A: Yes, we can take off the small ball head mount for the camera and there's a thread of size 1/4"-20 present in it. We have attached the images for your reference: https://prnt.sc/x1UY4rJ3pRYU https://prnt.sc/TDrTeWz1yRi2

Q: 3. What accessories are needed to make this work with a DJI RS2 or RS3 gimbal? What do we need besides this jib arm package?

A: A good option would be the Tilta Remote Control Kit for Select DJI Gimbals, B&H # TIGARCK. This will allow you to mount a DJI RS 2 or RS 3 gimbal to the Proaim Powermatic Scissor 17' Telescopic Jib Arm and power the gimbal via V-mount or Gold mount batteries.

Q: 4. What accessories are needed to make this work with a DJI RS2 or RS3 gimbal? In particular which mount is needed to mount the gimbal without its battery grip, and then power via v-mount and control the gimbal by the jib operator? Also how should we power the camera? We have d-tap power cables, but how do we connect this best to the v-mount in the back of the jib? Or is there another v-mount plate in the front?

A: I recommend using the Tilta Remote Control Kit for DJI Gimbals. This will allow you to mount the gimbal to the jib and power it by v mount or gold mount batteries. It will also allow the operator to control the gimbal remotely. You are able to mount a V-mount or Gold mount plate to the Proaim Powermatic Scissor 17'. I recommend powering the camera and jib off that.

Q: 5. What is different between this version 2 and the original?

A: Version 2 has better padding.

Q: 6. What tripod / dolly combination should be used with this jib?

A: Please review the following items Proaim Heavy-Duty 150mm Tripod Legs with Mid and Ground Spreaders (Silver) BH #PRPCST150 • MFR #P-CST-150 https://bhpho.to/3PAnlWc PROAIM Agile Heavy-duty Floor/Track Studio Dolly for Spiked Tripods sku:DL-0AGLE-01 contact sales special item

Q: 7. I want to use this with a Canon 5D Mark IV for table top photography. Will this handle the weight of the camera and macro lens?

A: Yes, the Glide Gear OH50 Overhead Photo and Video Camera Boom Pole would be able to support the weight of the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera and a macro lens for tabletop photography usage needs, though you may wish to use a counterweight on the opposite end of the boom pole.

Q: 8. Can a Zoom H1 fit in the shock mount?

A: The normal maximum diameter(clearance for mics) on the shockmount is 1.625 across(1 and 5/8 ). The Specs for the Zoom H1 are 1.7 x 5.4 x 1.2 , so it is very close. **But, if you squeeze the handles on the shock-mount, you can open the maximum diameter for microphones(or your Zoom H1) just enough to slide the Zoom H1 in for a snug fit. In other words: Yes. It will fit based on the ZH1 dimension specs, but will be clamped in against rubberized metal. Doing this will work, but render useless the inner shock-mounting bands(closest to Mic chamber), but you will still have shock-mounting bands between the chamber and boom pole mount... So less shock/sound transfer up the boom pole than if you used no mount, but not as optimal as having a mic(or Zoom H1) actually suspended in the inner shock bands also... The good thing though is your ZH1 isn't likely going to fall out!;)

Q: 9. How do people like this jib? What's good? What's not so good?

A: The Proaim Powermatic Scissor 17' Jib is a great entry level jib. This tool is especially handy when you pair it with a 3-axis gimbal.

Q: 10. Is there a link for the Powermatic Package version on b&h?

A: At this time, we have only this listing for the Proaim Powermatic Scissor 17' Telescopic Jib Arm: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1485587-REG/proaim_jb_scsr_00_powermatic_scissor_17_retractable.html We do have the tripod and dolly available separately.

[Aluminum, Steel] Got this to support a camera while doing table top photography of small objects. Allows the camera to get closer while the tripod can't get any closer to the table top set up. Counterweights really do balance the rig.

[Not Compatible] I travel a lot for work with video equipment, and this bag holds my entire Video, Audio and Lighting setup. I do wish the bag was 5 inches longer to fit my entire boom pole.

[1 x Boom Stand] This case had the right size for what we needed. It’s very slight weight while being super solid. Looks well crafted and I hope it’ll last a long time. It came with plenty of extra padding so the options on how to configure the case are endless. Recommended!

[Not Compatible] Works great overhead shooting down or as an extension for shooting up. As others have noted, there is a little flex, but with the counterweights it settles down quickly. I had an issue with the head loosening so I emailed support. They got back to me immediately for details. I figured out that the top ball really needs to be tightened down and it does take quite a bit of torque, but the nut can handle a great deal of force. Any shortcoming aside, the customer service experience makes it 5 stars.

[Aluminum, Steel] It holds onto my camera so I can hover over artwork. I only wish it wasn't so bouncy when I have to move it because I have to wait for it to stop each time to take a picture.

[Black] I was looking for a way to efficiently move my light stands, speed lights, and other equipment between my home and my car to transport to different locations. I did a lot of research and settled on this gear organizer. It is perfect for my needs! It fits a lot more gear than I anticipated. The wheels make it easy to roll around.

[Aluminum, Steel] I use this boom pole to teach the basics of location sound recording to my high school film and television students. For that purpose, it works perfectly. This is a no frills boom pole that does the job. It does not have an internal cable so you will have to secure an XLR cable down the length of the pole. The mic holder will take just about any mic you care to put into it. It is more suited to indoor shooting or in low wind situations with the included mic holder because it will not allow you to use a blimp and furry cover. The included mic holder does come off and you could attach any other that screws onto a 5/8 male or into 3/8 female. Again, for teaching students or for low budget production, this boom pole is a great value and does most of what other poles for twice the money will do.

[Aluminum, Steel] It took forever for this boom arm to get here, due to it being on backorder. But now that I have it, it's going to work perfectly for my overhead camera shots. Sturdy, well-built, functional. And comes with plenty of counterweights to keep the arm from leaning.
