Q: 5. I am hoping to use this to mount a microphone to a SmallRig cage. Is there a tap for this that is 3/8" on both ends, so that I can screw it into the 3/8" thread holes on the cage?

A: The Rycote Universal Shotgun Mount for Cameras and Boom Poles has a 1/4" female thread on the bottom and the included shoe mount adapter has a 1/4" male thread on one side and a 3/8" female thread of the bottom of the shoe. To attach the shock mount to a 3/8" female thread on your SmallRig cage, you can either use a dual male thread adapter like the Impact 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 Adapter Spigot (B&H # IMCA112) with the native thread on the shock mount or you can use the Impact 3/8" to 3/8" Adapter Spigot (B&H # IMCA115) to use the female thread on the shoe mount adapter.

Q: 8. How widely can the clamp open? In other words, what's the maximum pole diameter I can attach it to?

A: unfortunately this specific detail has not been provided by the manufacturer

Q: 9. Do you sell a speed rail that this fits nicely on?

A: The Tilta 2" Speed Rail Clamp for Hydra Predator Arm (B&H# TIHDAT05RMA) is part of the Tilta Hydra Predator Shock Absorbing Arm (V-Mount) (B&H# TIHDAT05V) or Tilta Hydra Predator Shock Absorbing Arm (Gold Mount) (B&H# TIHDAT05AB) and it may indeed be used with standard two-inch (50mm) speed rail, just like those arm kits. As of mid May 2022, B&H does not sell speed rail of that diameter, but if and when we do sell Tilta's version of that rail (Tilta HDA-SRK-SR) you will be able to find it at this link: https://bhpho.to/3yIzfrM

Q: 10. It is this correct? 2" speedrail? The standard is 1.25 and 1.5. Why would Tilta go with a non-standard rail size?

A: The Tilta 2" Speed Rail Clamp for Hydra Predator Arm will work with speed rails with an outer diameter up to 2".

[3.42 lb] This is easy to get into place and manipulate with one hand while holding it with the other. Some clamps are clunky for me to handle because they are made with beefy guy's hands in mind. I was worried about springing for this, but within 3 hours of getting it, it made itself a favorite.

[3.42 lb] The quality looks good. Have not used them other than installing them to check for fit. Have other Global Truss equipment and very happy with it.

[Aluminum] These clamps are the best. I use these clamps to hold camera lights, boom arms, and my desktop studio monitors stands in place. Anyone who works in the production field needs these in their gear case.

[Aluminum] Typical high quality Matthews build, this has the unique ability to join two hex snap-in pins while also providing the function of a super clamp. One thing you can do with this is use it with a right-angle super stud to rotate a snap-in pin 90 degrees for clamping to horizontal beams instead of vertical posts. It can of course hold two things too, compared to only one for a super clamp. Hence the name double super clamp.

[3.42 lb] I have to say these things were a life saver on a shoot I was just on. Not only did they resist high wind speed and keep their shape, but they are light as a feather. Something that will stand the test of time! Good Purchase.

[Aluminum] There are a ton of clamp options on the market, including replicas of Cardellinis from other manufacturers. We own a few different makes of jaw style clamps, and while they all work, threading a lock knob down a 4 - 6 shaft with poorly machined threads multiple times a day on set makes you want to throw lesser clamps out of the nearest window. If you work in production full time, save yourself some grief and get the real deal.

With respect to this particular product, I love having both spuds on either end of the shaft, and the threads are so well machined all you have to do is pop the lock knob and it spins down the shaft. Super easy to deploy and is entirely invaluable in some circumstances.

[Aluminum] I'm not using it for lighting or stage, but rather a ham radio antenna. I bought it specifically to use at the base of a mast pole that I needed to tilt over to where I could reach the top and do some work on it. Using this clamp and a pole pounded in the ground, I was able to tilt the top down without the base sliding away from me.
