Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Kase Revolution 82mm filters cause any vignetting on the Sony 20mm 1.8 or the Sony 24mm 1.4?

A: The Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit does not cause any visible vignetting on the Sony 20mm 1.8 or the Sony 24mm 1.4.

Q: 2. will this work for Nikon 180-200 lens?

A: Not sure which lens you are asking about. This would not fit the Nikon 180-400mm f/4E lens, or the older Nikon 80-200mm.

Q: 3. How thick is this filter in mm? Will the Kase filter holders that accommodate filters that are up to 2mm thick accommodate it?

A: Kase 100 x 100mm Wolverine Astroblast Filter is 2m thick. It would work with any holders designed to hold 2mm thick filters.

Q: 4. Does the CPL have a rotating mechanism or does it simply turn in the magnetic housing?

A: The Kase 82mm KW revolution entry kit rotate within the filters.

Q: 5. I saw recommended shims after I use the black mist filter. Is that mean I have to remove the shims everytime I remove the use of filter to achieve the infinity focus? I guess it destroy the whole concept of quickly swift between filter? Or you can still archive infinity focus but just the focus mark will be off a bit?

A: If using the DZOFilm Shim Set for Koop Rear Filters, you would have to remove the shims when removing the filter.

Q: 6. If my largest lens requires an82mm filter, can I purchase this kit and a set of step up rings to cover filter use on all others?

A: Yes, you can use step rings to place these filters on the smaller diameter lenses, but keep in mind that it should be magnetic Kase Step rings like this https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1512731-REG/kase_kw_msp_7782_magnetic_adapter_ring_step.html of appropriate size. We also recommend to have these wrenches when you work with filters and specifically step rings. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1407949-REG/sensei_62_72mm_rubberized_filter_wrench.html

Q: 7. Is this the same lens cap that comes with the Nikon 24-70 2.8E VR?

A: Yes, this is the original lens cap that you would receive when you purchase a new Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens.

Q: 8. Will it work on the older Nikon 300mm f4 AF ED which came with a leather-like 82mm cover instead?.

A: If that sense takes 82 mm filters and there are internal threads it will snap on. If no therapy it probably won't.

Q: 9. I hate the lens cap that my Sigma lens came with. I was wondering if this cap would work on my Art 135 lens ?

A: It worked perfectly on my Nikon 24-70 82 mm lens. I think it will fit all 82 mm lens. Never tested Art 135.

Q: 10. Is there any reason this won't fit on the 14-30/4 Z lens?

A: Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S front Lens diameter is 82mm therefore this cap is fully compatible with the front of your lens. I will recommend pinching and twisting the cap on top of the lens for a more secure grip.

[Aluminum] Love this Kase system. My widest lens is 82mm, so every lens I own has a Kase magnetic step-up ring and an 82mm lens cap. Adding filters or a polarizer is a matter of seconds - no fumbling, even with gloves on.

[Aluminum] The magnetic filter attachment is a step into the future and makes me use filters more without screw threads that are hard to get started and sometimes locked on. The filters themselves a high quality optically

[0.075 lb] You have one of two choices, get a different size ND filter for each lens with a different thread, or get adapters and worry whether you'll ever be able to unscrew your ND filter from the adapter. Even the highest end brass adapters are prone to stick. Kase Wolverine is the third option and so worth the price. I just leave this adapter on my Sigma 24mm lens and whatever ND or other filter I need, it drops right on. Perfect.

[Aluminum] This magnetic cap set is a must for the Kase filter set. When you want to keep a filter or stack of filters close by, this cap set keeps the front and back of your filters safe so you can slide them into a pocket without worry.

[0.075 lb] I have modified the Kase Magnetic Step Up Ring by adding two Neodymium magnet strips and applying magnetic adhesive strips to graduated neutral density filters. I don't like to use the frames that hold the graduated filters on the lens because I find that they vignette wide angle lenses. My graduated filters will adhere to the magnetic step up ring without causing any vignette and it is easy to position the filters over the lens.

[Aluminum] I bought this step-up ring to see if it would work with my brand of magnetic filters. It worked great so I will order other sizes.

[Black] If you're using the Kase 112mm magnetic filters and don't have one of these magnetic caps, please do yourself a favor and buy one. They are much better in the field compared to the Nikon Z 14-24mm OEM lens cover.

[Aluminum] I still have a very expensive PMVND filter screwed into a high end brass 49 mm to 82 mm adapter three weeks after the shoot. For whatever reason it simply will not come off. On the eve of a shoot when I knew I'd need my 55mm lens, I bought the Kase Wolverine ND and filter kit along with a couple of adapters like this one, and could not be happier. This is a life saver. Leave it on the camera with a Kase mag lens cover, then whatever filter or ND I need, it drops on. Magnet is strong and holds the lens cover or filter perfectly. Most important, they come off easily when I'm done with them. Worth every penny.
