With advanced control features and very low-noise, the F355 2-Channel Microphone Preamp from Lake People delivers high performance in any professional recording application. This rackmountable preamp sports a 12-step volume control on each channel, as well as a selectable fine-tuning gain knob for ±5 dB of adjustment, and a programmable intelligent muting system for automatically eliminating background noise and pops caused by plugging or unplugging your mics.

Each channel features selectable 48V phantom power, phase inversion, a -12 dB pad, a 12 dB/oct variable frequency low-cut filter, and a bright, 16-segment LED meter which can be calibrated from the front panel. Connections include two electronically balanced XLR inputs and four balanced XLR outputs, providing plenty of options for integration into your studio or mobile rig signal chain.

A: No

A: All the teleprompter apps allow changes on the set and are as fast as you can work.

Q: 3. Will this device allow me to connect a TV's spdif output to a usb speaker? or does it need to be connected to a PC/Mac to work? I am hoping to connect my Bose Companion 5 speaker system to my TV.

A: I agree that the FiiO TAISHAN-D03K is probably the way to go. That's what I have hooked up between my TV and stereo system using a 3.5 interconnect. As mentioned, the ART USB is overkill with the phono preamp included.

Q: 4. I have 2 3.5mm mics will they be on separate left and right channels or be all in one?

A: The Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter can be used to connect two microphones with 3.5mm connectors. There are separate left and right inputs on the back to connect both mics and a button on the front labeled "M/S" which is used to select between mono and stereo mode. When using the mono setting, the left and right channels will be combined as one mixed signal on both the left and right channels (same audio on both sides). When using the stereo mode, the two mics will be separated on different sides.

A: I am not aware of an option to provide this with USB power. This comes with a power supply for use with wall plugin power only.

A: Yes, the Saramonic SR-PAX1 can be used with any camera that has a 3.5mm mic input.

[Gray] I'm just...WOW!!! The gain this device provides is more than you'll ever need on a dynamic mic. I'm using a Sennheizer MD-42 dynamic as the testing mic, I don't use it often because it needs a lot of gain. It works well on high end recorders, but for using it on a camera, the mic is just ok...It never satisfied me until I tried the XP-30D. This preamp allows much less gain on the recorder or your camera. And it's a LOT of GAIN!! Maybe too much in some cases, for example, on a Tascam DR-100 MKII recorder. I used a Tascam DR-100 Mark III recorder for this experiment. Now, I have to set the gain so Low, resulting in a super clean and hiss free audio, like most decent Condenser mics do. After plugging in the XP-30D, adjusting the gain to minimum wasn't enough. Additionally, on the DR100 MKIII recorder, I had to turn on the PAD filter on my recorder, then adjust the gain, WAY low! Further next, I also tested it on a Canon C100Mark II. These cameras have terrible preamps, and adding the MD-42 mic makes things even worse. I plugged the XP-30D in, turned on phantom power on the C100 MKII, and the gain was awesome! Please make sure you see the pictures I included in this review. It shows everything you want to see. If you're looking for a powerful preamp, look no further. It's insanely powerful. The only thing I didn't like is, when plugging the mic, the XLR "input" PLUG from the XP-30D makes the mic connection a little lose... I tried is also with another 3 mics. Same. However, the slightly loose connection I will NOT make noises or anything that would ruin your presentation or recording even if you touch the plug. It's just a little loose and I thought it is worth mentioning... Before I plugged it in for the first time I used it, I expected a snug fit like all XLRs do. Other than that, this thing REALLY does the job!! [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5

[Gray] I picked up one of these as a quick purchase to give some extra boost to my Shure SM7b. I do have another brans inline preamp that I also really like, honestly the price on this was low enough for me to take the risk. I am certainly impressed with the Polsen. It does what it says, and it does it well. For the price, it's a no-brainer if you're looking to add some oomph to your dynamic, or ribbon mics with little to no added noise! I'll be ordering more for my studio. Recommended. 5

[Gray] Works as advertised, very pleased. I tried it with my Electro-Voice 635A handheld mic, which does not have power or audio adjustment settings, so it's levels are often too low. This Polsen inline XLR preamp boosted my volume from the mic and did not cause any noise or distortion from what I can tell. If you look at the pictures I uploaded, you can see the difference in volume with and without this preamp. As you can see it was pretty significant. This will be handy when I need to boost the volume without raising the gain internally in the camera. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5
