[Extended] Needed a new desktop Mac to replace my 2020 Mini, and caught this Mini M2 Pro 512/16 on sale. My original plan was to hold out for the new M4 model, but I couldn't wait any longer. My primary use is photo editing (Lightroom Classic) and occasional 4k video in Final Cut Pro. The speed and performance boost was immediately noticeable - tasks that used to bog down my older Mini now feel effortless with this M2 Pro. Having 4 Thunderbolt ports instead of 2 also means less drive-swapping, this is a very welcome addition. Very happy with this Mini M2 Pro! 5

[Extended] I picked up a 2023 M2 Pro Mac Mini 16G / 1 TB. I have been on Mac for what seems forever. I am moving from an 3.2 core i7 2018 Mac mini. First...free overnight shipping with signature. Perfect.... computer is not going to a porch pirate. The machine is awesome. I expect to hold on to this for several years. I perfect this form factor over the Mac Studio. This machine is so fast. it boots in about 15 seconds. The Apple Logo and progress bar at boot time, barely spend any time on screen before the desktop appears and the machine is up and running. There is nothing holding this Mac back. I am really pleased with it. B&H Photo... they are awesome and I have my eye on a few more things I need. No regrets!! 5

[Extended] I was using an Apple Mini M1 and it was great, but struggled with two monitors. The M2 took care of that problem. Too, when I upgraded I went to 32MB Ram and 1TG SSD. I'm not sure I need all this power, but it's there if and when I ever do. Love my Mac! 5

[3-Year ] Retired 2015 iMac (32 GB RAM, 1 TB fusion drive) and replaced it with 16 GB/512 GB M2 Pro for photo editing w/LrC. Paired it w/2T external SSD. The combination is amazingly fast! Can’t imagine a better choice. 5

[Extended] If you need to rip a lot of music for iTunes/Apple Music, you need a local host to store your files, either a PC or Mac. You can't use an iPad or iPhone to do so. I chose the Mac Mini for my wife's music library because it was reasonably priced compared to replacing her comparably configured MacBook Air and she only travels with her iPad. 5
