The dual 2.5G WAN/LAN ports allow you to connect with multi-Gig internet services, computers, and other compatible devices. There are also four Gigabit ports available. With support for link aggregation and load balancing, you can combine any two ports together for 5G, 3.5G, or 2G throughput.

[Yes] The router was easy to setup after creating an account. The instructions manual which was downloaded from the site was handy, but really not needed for the setup. The setup was easy due to the on-screen information and easy to fill fields. This router is connected to my carrier's gateway using the IP pass-through method, thus it assigned a WAN IP to the router so I could create a separate network. The Asus RT-AX88U Pro is powerful. It covered more square footage with higher signal levels than the gateway installed by my carrier. I love its enhanced security features, which are standard and at no additional cost to the user, unlike other router manufacturers that charge a fee for such services. This is an outstanding router and highly recommended. It delivers the features and performance as advertised and seen in online reviews. 5

[1 GB] After 10 years of excellent performance (still performing) from a ASUS RT-AC68U AC1900 Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Router, I decided to upgrade, after looking at the different Models (considering my use is a home network), I choose the RT-AX88U Pro AX6000 Dual Band WiFi 6 Router. The AX88U PRO has many new features and amazing speed enhancements not to mention a faster processor with 4 cores instead of 2, and the 2 core processor in the RT-AC68U was really fast in it's day. Setup was a breeze, just reset your modem, then turn on the router with your ethernet cables connected, and boom, setup screen shows up on your computer monitor and except for new ASUS Router Web/Remote access now being a web address instead of the IP address, and a minor change in the the new IP addresses from 192.168.1.100 to the new format 192.168.50.100. Setup was a breeze, Range is much better for WIFI, Web speed regarding loading pages and such, is much faster regarding Ethernet and WIFI, many more features and improvements to list............. Fantastic Router, Incredible Upgrade, ASUS does it again ! I choose this Router as it has the features and priceline I wanted, yes there arew even better ones to choose but they are much more expensive and rightfully so as they are primarily used for large networks with very large client and network demands, considering this is for a home network, it is perfect, has much better WIFI coverage, faster LAN performance and you will notice the difference across the board ! 5

[1 GB] My purchase was to increase the WiFi distance from the router while providing good speeds. The router now covers my entire2100 sq. ft., 1 story home with router in one corner of the house where the broadband comes in. Both the 2.4 and 5 GHz provide smooth streaming. 5

[4] I was finally ready to make the jump to Wi-Fi 6. My previous router, an Apple Airport Extreme, didn’t reach to the farthest points of the house and I believed there was the prospect of even better speeds. Right out of the box, I flashed Merlin firmware on the device. It most definitely is reaching some areas of the house that were inaccessible before. However, most of my devices cannot take advantage of Wi-Fi 6. I don’t have many options for placement, and that seems to be the number one factor in getting better coverage throughout my home. I also set up a VPN at the router, so every device can benefit. It’s been rock, solid stable and was a good, but not great, purchase at full retail. If you’re planning to make the jump to Wi-Fi 6, temper your expectations. If and when these do inevitably fall in price, go for it. Asus routers are the best on the market, now that Apple has disappeared. 5

[256 MB] This new router is even better than the prior model the AX-88U which was the best router I had ever owned until now. First, this router is very easy to set up and control. ASUS interface could not be easier or more stable. Second, this router exceeds the speeds advertised by my internet provider and consistently maintains these speeds. I even set up dual WAN and the router is working perfectly. Dual WAN was the main reason I upgraded as the Dual WAN settings were not working correctly with the prior model. 5

[256 MB] I purchased this to replace an older node on my ASUS AiMesh wireless network. Got the expected boost in speed and range. While the Quick Start directions are tailored towards this being your primary router, their App makes it super easy to do without needing these. These ASUS routers are really the nicest that I’ve used, and I’d definitely recommend. 5
