Delivering power and durability, the F388-2-Q 4-Channel Headphone Amp from Lake People is a versatile, rack-mountable studio headphone and speaker amplifier, providing 4-channels of low-noise amplification for headphones between 16 and 600 ohms as well as studio monitors and loudspeakers. Ultralow-impedance amplifier outputs ensure optimal performance with the lowest impedance headphones, and pre-gain can be set internally between -12 and +12 dBr for refinement when matching to your preferred listening device.

The F-388 comes with four balanced XLR inputs (left and right), four stereo 1/4" headphone outputs, and four stereo 1/4" line outputs. Each channel sports dedicated volume and balance adjustment knobs and the unusually high internal operating voltage ensures a more than adequate sound level is maintained, even when used with very-high-impedance headphones.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you daisy chain two of these? I have one already and need more outputs.

A: Sure you can.

Q: 2. Can you use this with a power bank?

A: The Samson QH4 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier requires 15V DC and most power banks do not supply that amount of voltage. We recommend using the included power supply.

Q: 3. What is the recommended ohm headphone to use?

A: The HeadAmp4 is powerful enough to support most consumer and pro headphones which typically range from 32 to 600 ohms.

Q: 4. How does this plug in to the audio out from my computer?

A: In order to use the Behringer HA-400 with you computer all you would need is and adaptor cable. The adaptor has to be a 3.5mm male stereo for your computer out to a 1/4 stereo male for the Behringer HA-400 input. This is the B&H part number of the cable you will need to make this work for you B&H # HOSMMSPM10. You will find the image attached below.

Q: 5. The unit won't turn on?

A: If the unit is not receiving power and the LED indicator is not lit, it is possible either the included power supply or the unit itself is defective. Please contact a Representative in our Pro Audio Department for support here at 800-606-6969. In addition our Customer service Department can assist you with an exchange or return if necessary. Q: 6. Hi! Will this work with Zoom H6?

A: You may need 1/4 to 1/8 adapters but yes it will work!

Q: 7. can i connect this directly to headphone out of my mixer? or there's a better way to connection? thanks

A: Yes you connect it but you have to use the right cable .

Q: 8. Power Supply for 110v or 220v ?

A: The power supply is marked 12O Volt 60 Hz. ..so, no, it won't work on 220-240. However, the output is marked 12V dc 150mA. The connector on the end of the cord is the standard small item plug that fits all kinds of small electronic items, including external hard disk enclosures. There are MANY inexpensice power supplies on the market (or you may have some lying around) that put out 12v dc and at least 150 mA. If you find one that puts out more than that, is should be just fine. ...just not lower than 150mA. You do need decent quality to prevent hum. B&H may sell one, or look on eBay. ..for a p.s. that for input 110 and 240 Volts, and 50 / 60 Hz. ..so you can use here (U.S.) or in Europe, wherever. The sound from this compact amplifier is quite clean. i use for video voice over, and have NO complaints.

Q: 9. How long the mini cable?

A: The included mini cable is 1.5 meters in length. (Just under 5 ft.)

Q: 10. Does this come with the input coard to connect I have a Mackie 1402VLZ4 14-Channel Compact Mixer and I need to plug this in to it for muiltpule peopel to listen so I need to know if it comes with the input cord for me to plug it into?

A: You will need to buy a 1/4 stereo cable to attach to your 1402VLZ.. I have a 1202VLZ.

[< -80 dB ] I love my iFi Hip DAC V2. However, it is too clunky to carry around using my iPhone. Enter iFi GO link. It brings listening to music with my favorite IEM in a convenient way with little to no hassle. Sound and performance is fantastic.

[16 to 600 Ohms] This little amp sounds fantastic. I’ve had the best results using an over the ear style headphone but it works decent with my in-ears as well. The battery lasts a good amount of time, it’s easy to use and the different tones I can get are truly satisfying. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this for a recording or band practice.

[Yes] The AC30 is great for practicing when others want to sleep. It's very compact and fits in the accessories compartment in my guitar case. Tone is good (not great), and certainly acceptable for practicing. Given its small size, I don't think anyone can expect killer tone. I find the effects (Chorus, Delay, Reverb) a bit cheesy and don't use them. The volume is sufficient with headphones. I've used it with Sennheiser Momentums (18 ohm) and AKG K240 MkII (55 ohm). I've also tried it with a JBL Charge. I had to crank the Charge to full volume for the sound to fill a small room. But hey ... that makes for a very portable amp solution.

[16 to 600 Ohms] I bought the amp for the following reasons: 1. It is made in the USA; 2. It is vacuum tube based, pure class A amp; 3. The price.
I have replaced the stock tube with a Mullard re-issue tube and let it bake for the total of 24 hours. I use it with HiFiman Sundara, Vincent integrated as the tube pre-amp. The sound is very balanced, non-fatiguing but not excessively tube-warm. It's a pleasure to listen to for hours. Highly recommended.

[15 VA] Gear: Agile 3010 SE, 1950's wiring, Seymour Duncan Antiquities, CTS 500K pots Headphones: Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Pretty nifty thing. I made mine into a really compact set up with a 3 ft cable going from my headphones into the amPLug G2. Works really well with clear channels. The effects are fun to play with.
