A: Not particularly. Its modes include 180-360 degree rotation with set number of stops (1-200) for panoramic stitching. This is great for panorama and rotational product still photography, but would introduce hitches in video. There are three motor speeds, and the slowest is about a minute for a full rotation. You can also manually hold down the rotation button for continuous rotation (using the remote so that you don't introduce any jiggle) but a minute of 360 degree rotation doesn't give you a lot to work with for time-lapse.
