If space is a consideration and quality is a requirement, then the Sharp NP-PE456USL 4500-Lumen WUXGA Laser Projectorfrom Sharp NP-PE456USL 4500-Lumen WUXGA Laser Projectorcould be an option for your home or office conference room. It offers a short throw of 0.44:1, which means the projector can conveniently sit extremely close to a wall or screen. In fact, from only 4' away you can experience a display up to 130" in size. It also has the added benefit of minimizing shadows with the reduced space between wall and projector. You can project from a variety of sources via the dual HDMI inputs, which can deliver up to 4K quality in even brightly lit rooms. This is thanks in part to NEC's processing and upscaling chip that intelligently boosts the 1920 x 1200 native resolution.

By using a laser light with a lifespan of approximately 20,000 hours, the NP-PE456USL is essentially maintenance free.

Thanks to the built-in speakers supplying 16W of audio power, the projector can emit audio without the need for external speakers. However, if you do connect external speakers, you can adjust the volume using the included remote control.

Even if the projector is at an angle to the screen, you can use cornerstone correction to correct the image horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.

You can get creative with how you install the NP-PE456USL. It supports portrait mode for 10:16 portrait images when mounted on its side. It also delivers tilt-free installation with its ability to rotate 360° and point up or down as needed.

The projector conveniently connects to a local network via a wired RJ45 connection (Wireless Lan Adapter is optional), allowing for remote network-based control using the Crestron Roomview management system. This gives you various capabilities, including the ability to switch the power on and off for multiple projectors connected to the network.

If the projector accidentally and suddenly loses power, the lamp is protected as the fan continues to run until it is properly cooled. In addition, internal sensors monitor the lamp temperature and will preview it from powering on.

  • Direct power on
  • Auto power off
  • ECO mode
  • NaviSat Administrator 2 compatible
  • Support for Crestron, AMX, and PJLink

[23.06 lb] I purchased this projector to replace one we had at church. It runs for ~3 hours a week. It turns on quick and has bright colors. The room is brightly lit and the content is still very readable. Installation was very easy. The projector has a lot of image position adjustment options. I primarily purchased this projector because I needed a specific throw distance and there weren't many laser options for my throw ratio. The remote feels very cheap and does NOT have great range.

[6.39mm] Its a brighter version of the 6200Lumen that was very popular. The 1.09 lens makes this projector the shortest throw super bright without the short throw optical issues.

[16:10] We recently installed this projector in a conference room and I was surprised at the brightness and clarity of this projector. With all the lights on projecting onto a painted wall it looks great and we had no issue reading small text on websites. For the price this projector is solid.

[1920 x 1200] We have used the older Panasonic PT-VMZ50 projector for many years and never been disappointed. So when we needed a second projector, we went with latest version. Not disappointed. Our favorite features are: 1) instant on & off (no need to wait to turn off) 2) bright images in a fully lit room (no need to dim the room lights)

[0.44:1] I purchased this to install in a traditional style chapel with lots of natural light, and no shutters, blinds, or curtains obstructing the large windows. The projection surface is a wall painted with a bluish-tinted off-white. Even with all these challenges, at roughly 15ft away from the wall I managed to configure the brightness, color, and contrast settings well enough to project a very high quality image with subtle detail clearly visible even from about 50~60ft away from the projection surface. I am very happy with the picture quality and the configuration options that allow fine-tuned adaptability to a very wide range of applications.

[Laser Phosphor] This is a bright - lightweight and solid projector to work with. Using it for projection mapping and I really love it so far.

[Laser Phosphor] Just unboxed the projector a few days ago. Nice bright image. Took a little time to make proper image adjustments to match image original hues. Still having some minor issues with the keystone, but for now will accept it as user error as I am still very new to the unit. Brightness is great! Highly recommend

[Yes] We've installed the Sony in our church which struggles with loads of natural light. It replaces an older lamp projector and is much more vibrant with better colour and does a great job.
