This paper features a double weight of 255 gsm and a white base tint providing neutral colors. It utilizes a matte finish to dull possible reflections. Additionally, it is variable contrast paper with seven full grades of contrast available. These grades are accessible with the use of speed-matched filters.

Multigrade FB Classic is designed for use with all enlargers and is equally suitable for printing from conventional negatives and from XP2 Super negatives. Safelights are recommended to have dark orange, dark brown, or red filters and a 15 W bulb.

A: The Ilford Multigrade Art 300 Paper is a fiber base paper and can be toned.

A: Yes, the paper is black and white. You will have contrast issues using color negatives. But it will be only black and white.

A: Yes, this paper will work with oils.

Q: 8. I exposed this paper under the enlarger, and then put it to the tray of developer but it comes nothing, why? Should I take a different process?

A: I find when enlarging images on this paper that I have longer exposure times and developing times than any other papers. Try longer for both. Best of luck!

A: Semi Matt is closer to a matt finish than it is to glossy (my observation/opinion). I have never seen pearl in a fiber base paper, only in RC, and that has a more radiant or iridescent look.
