This large 22.8 x 18.3 x 11.7" case is outfitted with robust top and side handles for carrying, or if it is too heavy, extend the telescoping handle and tow it behind you on its two rollerblade-style polyurethane wheels. Built from lightweight but tough impact-resistant NK-7 resin, it has a built-in purge valve to ensure you'll be able to easily open the lid after a flight. The O-ring sealed lid makes the case IP67-rated, waterproof, and resistant to dust.

Nanuk's patented PowerClaw latches clamp the case shut, and slide locks prevent accidental opening if dropped. For security, the case has two steel-reinforced 0.34" diameter holes to accommodate padlocks. Other design features include handle and lid stays and durable stainless steel hardware, and the case is designed to be stackable with other cases. These build and design features make the 950 a safe and dependable way to store and transport your gear.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this case large enough to hold two camera bodies (canon 5d mark ii & 7d mark ii) + four lenses (largest is 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L) + spare batteries, cleaning supplies, etc.? I'm not sure if this case or the 1560 is the way to go.

A: Do this: lay out your kit on a table and arrange within each case's specified dimensions. Within the 15010, plan for padded inserts spanning 1/2 -3/4 separation between each item. If you want more separation, the pick and pluck foam and the 1560 may be a better option.

Q: 2. Can this hold both 120 and 35mm film rolls at the same time?

A: The Kodak Steel 120/135mm Film Case (Red Lid/Yellow Body) can hold both 35mm and 120 film at the same time.

Q: 3. Which cases will hold a mac laptop?

A: This case will hold up to a 15 MacBook Laptop just fine. It would not fit a 17 though.

Q: 4. can I use this to transport a self inflatable life vest on a chopper?

A: This would likely depend on what, if any, restrictions the helicopter had about luggage (available space), and the size of the vest not only before it is inflated, but also after. Other than that, I cannot see any issues with using a pelican case to transport a self inflatable life vest in a helicopter.

Q: 5. Does the case still have the same loud wheels?

A: The Pelican 1510SC Studio Case with Lid Organizer and Yellow Divider Set (Black) come with wheels made of strong polyurethane with stainless steel bearings for smooth traction and works well as any carry-on case with wheels.

Q: 6. Would a Macbook Pro 15.4" fit in the laptop pouch?

A: No, the laptop pouch is limited to 15 inches.

Q: 7. Will it hold a MAC Pro tower?

A: Hi,I do not have the dimensions of the Mac Pro Tower in mind (it should be easy to check and compare with inner dimensions of the case) but at first glance I would say no. This (wonderful) case is cabin-size and I would guess the tower is similar to a PC desktop tower. In any cases I strongly recommend the case to carry fragile / high-tech gear. As a carry-on luggage, be careful with the weight of the basic model as it is quite heavy (there is a recent lighter version).Hope it helps.Marc

Q: 8. Shooting on a boat, let's say I need to swim from an anchored sailboat to shore, not terribly far, would you feel confident floating the case in the saltwater for the swim?

A: I think it is likely that the Pelican folks would agree that this is risky. I have never tried it; maybe it would be ok. However, fully loaded, your case+contents can be very heavy is unlikely to float. Stripped of the bags and with a light load it would float but chuck full ... i doubt it. The seals are pretty robust though. So, if you have maintained the o-rings, etc, it is likely to be dry inside after exposure to water. If you are just transporting a light load, it may float and there is a reasonable chance that this box will protect your equipment. If you are carting several thousand dollars worth of equipment, though, I would not risk attempting to float the package. However, I cannot think of a better container to protect your equipment from damage were the trip to the water to be accidental. You could, of course, put some weights in the box and see how it works. Be sure to expose it to some waves.

Q: 9. ordered and received Pelican 1510, do I order the small organizers? Screws were included.

A: If you are looking to purchase the internal dividers and lid organizer items separately, the Pelican 1515 Padded Divider Set - for Pelican 1510 Series Cases, B&H # PEDS1510, and the Pelican 1519 Photographer's Lid Organizer for Pelican 1510 Case, B&H # PELO1510, would be the correct items for your needs.

Q: 10. Hi anyone use this for a canon c100 standing upright with the top mic handle off ? does it clear well with the pouch ?

A: No, the camera is a touch too tall for that case.

[Yes] this case is absolutely perfect besides the fact that the padded divider within it does not fill up the entire case. when compared to the pelican case it is obvious that the included padded dividers set is not formed to fill the entirety of the Nanuk case. let's take it into consideration It is still an absolute win over the pelican cases because it includes the lid organizer which pelican will charge about $100 extra to include with their cases. overall an absolute gem of a product.

[Latch] These cases are better than pelican cases! The latches, construction and lid organizers are far superior. I will be buying all Nanuck from now on! Just ordered two more today!

[Hard Case] I am assembling my kit to be able to take my lighting heads for on-site photography as well as in my small studio. The 945 Case is ideal for my Godox AD200pro Heads (2), Godox V1, Trigger, extra batteries, cables/chargers, gels and other accessories. I still have space for a 3rd head/strobe and the Godox Dual Power Flash Bracket.

I used only one pluck tray which means I have extra space to expand my setup if need be.

The Nanuk Lid Organizer for 945/960 Case (Black) (sold separately) is a great addition.

[Resin] I'm very surprised of how well designed this kit is. My main reason to buy this over the Tilta one is the open ventilation on the top, instead of the grid that comes in the Tilta and partially block the exhaust area of the camera. Everything else is nicely designed and executed. Great kit.

[Yes] We always choose Nanuk. Super happy and you cannot beat B&H. B&H is fast, cheap and carries the best product. Who says you cannot have all 3?

[Resin] This is a rock solid case that gives me extreme peace of mind for protecting my camera gear.
My only advice would be to make sure the case will be big enough once the dividers have been installed.
The dividers bordering the edge are quite thick, therefore you lose at least an inch and a half in inside storage.
The lid organizer is extremely high-quality and holds more than I would have thought by just looking at the pictures.

[Resin] I have an FX3 and was a little paranoid not having a good case. This case is of amazing quality. It's very heavy-duty. It has sturdy locks and it's easy to put a padlock on it. It's crafted perfectly for the FX3. I don't feel my camera shaking around in the box. For this to be on the budget end I'm very impressed with it. Highly recommend this case. Only con is that Im using it for just the camera and the handle. Not really sure what to put in the other spaces.

[Yes] Very solid construction, huge assortment of padded dividers, lid organizer pre-installed. Makes a great case for my laser harp kit. That includes a small laser projector, several control boxes, lots of different cables, and a laser bounce mirror, along with some rigging accessories.

[Resin] Very Very Good Product! I am not rating it as overall excellent because it lacks integral wheels and trolley handles. The built quality is excellent and seems it will endure the punishment; satisfaction is total in that department. The case is big though! you do not realize it until you have in hands and integral trolley/wheels are absolutely needed for the size and weight (including equipment). Gonna have to purchase separate trolley to lug this around...
