[Internal] Never ran the stock software. I flashed it to OpenWRT the moment I got it. A great wifi access point so far. It has been handling the extremely noisy RF environment quite well (dense apartment complex - I can see over 150 WiFi APs from my apartment).

[4 to 5 dBi] Easy setup out of the box. Included power-over-ethernet adapter is great for installation options. I have mine sitting on top of a desk. Great range and connectivity for all of my devices including laptops, gaming consoles, and smart home devices.

[≤14.9 W] This thing is a beast compared to the ac model I upgraded from. I like the internal antennas instead. Works great in all aspects as desired!

[Access Point] Bought a pair of these to replace some 2.4 GHz APs that were started needing to get rebooted every so often due to not allowing tablets or phones to connect, at usually the worst time. Those APs used dipole antennas which helped beam coverage to the patio and backyard. These APs have better coverage than the old APs even at 5 GHz. Theses APs are rock stable and allow phones and tablets to seamlessly hand off to one another as you walk across the property, which my old APs only sometimes did. As when setting up any WiFi use an app on your phone to determine which channels have the least interference on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. I also set them to different channels than each other so they would not interfere with each other. Set your SSIDs to the same for the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. I set the bandwidth to 20 MHz for the 2.4 and 40 MHz for the 5 as that seems to be a good trade off of reducing interference and keeping good bandwidth. They offer a lot of performance for the money and are very easy to set up as an AP.

[Wall, Ceiling] Took out my wifi router, (don't use the service-supplied internal, didn't really need the extra router, and it was ancient-old) and replaced it with this. I'm using it @ home.

We just added 2 new units, equipped with WiFi 6e. Wow - you can't tell if it's plugged into the ethernet cable or WiFi. Once set up, it does a great job & is fully configurable (with the separate controller). MAC Filtering, latest security modes, all work well. Coverage (inside, 2nd floor, pointed down) gives huge full-house, plus full-yard coverage.

Pleased with the change.

[Access Point] First of all the shipping was super fast and free! The EAP610 is easy to setup if your network switches are POE there’s no need to use the supplied power adapter . I purchased a total of five units. (EAP610) and I was able to connect four of them without the need of the power supply, one of my ethernet cables was coming from a non-POE switch, so I easily installed it with the supplied power supply. All the instructions for set up are easy to read and understand. The equipment has perform flawlessly and without any issues so far.

[20 to 25 dBm] Quality and performance at a great price. These units outperform the big boys at a far better price. I installed 4 of these to provide Wi-Fi at our hotel. We can have all guests connected and streaming, with no complaints.
