The MG300 IP Video Media Gateway from Kiloview is a multi-functional device that provides multi-channel video encoding and can also transcode between H.264 and H.265 signals. The unit can output up to UHD 4K60 video via its HDMI output port and up to 1080p60 via its 3G-SDI output and handles multi-channel video decoding between NDI|HX, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, TS-UDP, and HLS to 3G-SDI and HDMI.

The MG300 is compatible with NDI|HX (2.0), SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, TS-UDP, and HLS. It supports decoding with all those different protocols and at the same time supports cross conversion of up to nine protocols.

Multi-channel video streams can be republished as a multiview video source with free layout and up to nine channels of IP streaming distribution (including the multiview video source) and each stream can be pushed to up to four same or different targets simultaneously.

The MG300 supports decoding up to UHD 4K H.264 and H.265 IP streams and it decodes the streams to output via 3G-SDI and HDMI. It supports decoding up to nine channels of videos simultaneously.

Intelligent delay control technology achieves a less than 200ms decoding delay in a network environment. Image enhancement and fault-tolerant technology provides low code-encoded video, 10% of network packet loss video, and clear, distortion-free decoding output.

The output display can be either in grids or a free layout with customized design, PIP, PBP, and POP. The output resolution and frame rate are adjustable.

You can preview up to 16 streams of real-time video or images on its web page, from which you can choose nine of the streams for output.

Digital audio is embedded on HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs, while a 3.5mm port provides an analog audio output.

[HDMI/SDI] This router works well with other Ubiquity Unifi devices including managed switches, wireless access points and network extenders. This router is fast. The self hosted server app works well on a Windows 10 pc. What isn't clear from the product description or BHP tech support is that the 2.5 GB ports adapt to 1 GB connections and that this router can replace an older Ubiquity UniFi router by plug and play. All that is needed, is to replace the new router on the gateway connection and adopt the device. Once you adopt the new router you get a message saying you can't have 2 gateways. Then just go and forget/remove the old gateway router from the app and re-adopt the new gateway router. Give it a bit of time and all the settings will be automatically applied to the new router. I have a xfinity cable modem, UniFi gateway router, 2 UniFi 8 port managed switched, 1 UniFi WAP, 2 UniFi Beacon wireless network extenders and about 50 network devices managed with a fixed ip setup. My only complaint is that nobody at BHP or Ubiquity could give me a straight answer on upgrading the router. 5

[HDMI/SDI] Upgraded from Ubiquiti USG-3P that was end of life and suffering ethernet port failure from lightning power surges and/or age. The UXG-Max is much faster in line speed and general processing for IDS packet inspection. I turned all the fancy IDS features off on the USG so it is nice to get that information and features for my network. The new UXG max runs much cooler and is barely warm to the touch compared to the USG which was cooktop hot. 5

[2x RJ45] Got a UXG-Max to replace an old USG-3p. The replacement was pretty easy and Ubiquiti support was very useful. You can ask all the questions before doing the replacement. The only tricky part is that you need to keep a laptop connected to your admin app so you can remove the old gateway from the network and adopt the new one. 5

[H.264, H.265] Once I got used to the ubiquity software, it was fairly easy to set up and it's doing what it's supposed to do. Between this device and the access point I bought earlier, I was able to remove my all-in-one Asus Wi-Fi router. 5

[1.475 lb] I love this router. I did have some initial challenges adopting it and getting everything configured to work correctly behind my RG but I think that is more due to my skill level than anything wrong with the router. Speeds were slow at first but I found the expected ISP speeds setting which fixed that. One of the main reasons I purchased the Max to work with my Ubiquiti access points was that I coud have several virtual WiFi networks with their own VLAN's and different DNS addresses and it all works perfectly now. 5

[H.264, H.265] Product works flawlessly, taking the HDMI output of a Sony A7 IV and perfectly feeding it, with negligible latency through my vLAN'ed, 10 Gbe network. My only issue is the package I received was not new, and included a ding at the top of the device. 5

[HDMI/SDI] This was a replacement to my USG. So glad I purchased this upgrade. Wish I had done it sooner. It was very easy to setup basically plug and play. 5
