A: Based on the manual for the Roland Go:Mixer, they do not recommend using an other cabling for data connection to the phone. Since the wiring of this cable may differ from other devices, I would stick with the Roland cable supplied.

[0.34 lb] My original Apple cable start to fall apart after years of use. With the talk of possible Apple switching to USB-C in the near future. I didn't want to spend too much money on Lighting cable. Found this for a lot less than Apple's own cable, long enough and flexible. Works well but as for reliability, that will have to wait and see but it is looks and feels well made enough. So far so good. 5
