[8x] I live in the country with occasional unwanted critters and people. The view is AMAZING even with overcast night skys. Not cheap, might have been fine with Gen 2, or level 2-3 quality tube. Hands free head gear is kinda cheap but I don’t plan to use it much. Crisp , bright night vision in seemingly pitch darkness.

[64 to 72 lp/mm] These are not military grade. But for the price I'm surprised how much detail I can see in the yard and field behind my house. With in a hundred feet I can see cats and racoons in the dark. Your not going to see much beyond this and I did not expect to at this price. The only problem I have is loosing my night vision due to the bright viewing screen. By keeping one eye closed during viewing helps. Cant wait to use them at the cabin. Wont have to light up the woods with a spotlight to see the deer and bear.

[216mm f/1.8] For ranges up to 100 yards this little scope is hard to beat. For small critters farther then that a thermal unit would be better. Perfect for an airgun.

[64 to 72 lp/mm] I'm sure this was intended for darkrooms but I use to get around the house at night. I have to get up a lot earlier than my wife and I don't want to disturb her or the baby. There is clutter on the floor and this light lets me see what I'm stepping on without using a light bright enough to wake them. Got it on deal zone at a fantastic price and mine came with batteries in it. They sleep in peace and I don't step on anything that will inflict pain. Come to think of it I should get one for my sister in law who just had a baby.

[8x] Bought these because the other PVS14s I ordered from a smaller business had yet to ship after a whole month. B&H shipped them out same day, and they arrived 30 hours after the order was placed. Amazing.


The PVS14s are awesome. My first NVG but it's really cool. Not sure what else to say about it, no blemishes on the tubes, good visibility in pitch black, everything works as intended.

[Yes, Included] Variable brightness. Bright enough to write notes on clipboard or check stage gear on a dark set. 9V battery is easy enough to procure.

[-6 to +12] I do not believe I have ever reviewed a flashlight before. This one is a neat convenient package. Interesting too that it has a 9 volt battery. Works well with a rotating switch. I like it give it a try

[216mm f/1.8] This Celestron night vison light is compact and useful. Makes me feel like a submarine commander as far as saving my night vision goes!

[Yes, Included] It does affect my night vision when I use it, but because its two red LEDs turn on at MINIMUM BRIGHTNESS it does not affect it much. Power and brightness are controlled by a small thumbwheel, like the volume control on a portable radio.
I have another red light but it starts out way too bright. I never use it because of this.
It comes with a 9V battery and seems to have good battery life. It is not water or weather resistant. The lanyard is quite good: simple and functional. I can put it around my neck with plenty of slack.
