[2800 to 6500K] The Good:
Clean bright fresnel LED light. High CRI. Not heavy. On par with the L10 from Arri both in light ray quality and power. Nice flood and spot functions. No noticeable rim effects.

The Bad:
Somewhat fragile. Short cord. Range only up to 5600k. You really have to turn that knob a lot to get from 0 to 100 in power.

The Word:
I cannot really subtract any stars for The Bad simply because for the price point you are getting beyond excellent quality. To get the same light power from an LED you'd have to go up to the Arri L10 which costs 3 times as much. So for the price of an L10 you can have 3 lights provided you can live without a few features, like a built in range that goes up to 10,000k for moonlight simulations. Of course you can gel it but....

This light is a fantastic LED Fresnel in a studio setup. Even in small productions it might work, provided you have people on your light crew that care about gear.

This light will deliver pro results for an LED so long as you know how to use it and understand that it's not an Arri tank (translation: your crew can't play soccer with it).

[Aluminum] Wow. This light is bright. I've been looking into fresnel's & HMI's for a while but really wanted to find an LED equivalent. I found this through a DP/Youtuber's video about what he always takes to shoots. I did quite a bit of research before buying and it seemed to fit the bill... Man, I'm glad I took the plunge.�

1. It's so bright. I really didn't know what to expect. I had to base all my trust in poorly done Youtube reviews. I am definitely not disappointed in it's output. The spot/flood dial works great as well.

2. It's lightweight compared to most Fresnel's but still tough and feels high quality. It's a metal housing of course, so I'm not worried about it taking a beating. The hinge is solid and I'm confident it will stay put when placed upright on a c-stand.

3. It doesn't get hot. This is huge for me... Gone are the days of wearing gloves or waiting for cool-down. The LED itself gives off a little bit of heat, but over all the entire housing stays cool to the touch.�

4. Dialing the output percentage takes a while. On one hand, it's awesome that it is decimal-based and you can be very precise in percentage, but it takes a lot of dial-turning to get from 25% to 100%. I just wish there was a more intuitive way to jump 10% at a time if I need to. Not a big deal at all, but I expected a little more for a new tech product.

5. The barn doors are a little on the flimsy metal side, but they stay put over all. Time will tell how they hold up.

Over all this thing is a champ. It is no HMI(and it's not meant to be), but it certainly holds its own compared to regular non-LED fresnels. I plan to purchase several more in 2018 to stock up my lighting department.

[Aluminum] I cannot believe that a light of this quality is so cheap! Field tested today and it is extraordinary. Very well built. On par with a 575 HMI in daylight mode. Beautiful dimmable key in tungsten. Highly recommended .

[Acrylic] This has been one of my best lights. I love the option to use the 18650 batteries instead of having to buy a battery pack. Small and light weight. The bag it comes with is ok, and when I received the box it was a little beat up. But I still love this small light.

[Passive] I bought this with the octagon softbox with egg crate. So bright and soft and will go hours on a Vmount battery. I never hear the fan because I use for interviews - close up and I use less than half power.
It's also great for still portraits. Best light i have. A little bigger than I thought but I love it. Just what I needed for shooting great interviews with a soft light.

[98 W (Maximum)] After transitioning to bi-color LED panels we've been wanting to add a battery powered fresnel to build a more complete traveling kit. This one seems to fit the bill.�

Good color, good throw, good build quality, and bright. Haven't measured but seems to be as bright as an Arri tungsten 1k fresnel.

Note: Even after looking at the specs the size of the light surprised me. If you want to know how much space this light is likely to occupy while traveling look at the specs of the case it comes with.

[15.475 lb] Used the Intellytech Light Cannon F-165 Bi-Color for the first time and was very impressed.

Had to create the classic "morning light through a window" look on location at a model home. The F-165 had plenty of "beam intensity" with a beautiful white light that captured the morning "look" perfectly.� Was able to warm the scene by adjusting the color temp.� Quick and easy controls.

Later used with the Intellytech softbox as a powerful soft shadowed key, which made for a nice looking "single light" interview. It is a big light for location work, so be sure to use a medium-to-heavy duty stand and sandbag the rig.

I'd recommend for anyone in production.

[1x Barndoors] Like all gear they do have their pluses and minuses. But this light has so many pluses!! Its Powerful and versatile. Its become a staple in my kit. Having a Fresnel LED is nowadays a must. And this light delivers and its WIFI works pretty darned well too. It is a bit bulky, but for me thats the only drawback. I havent purchased a battery yet, but that will be the true test. Beside that, with the egg crate it works like a dream. With other brands coming in at double the price, I chose this unit any day!

[1x Barndoors] I retired my old Lowell pro light kits and replaced them with a couple of these kits. they replace them to a T.� I shoot a lot of lower budget TV spots and industrial training. these work great when shooting those gift shops where i have to light smaller areas and move frequently. pop the batteries in and go. the batteries last the whole shoot. Their small size allows me to place them every where with out dragging cords all over the location. And since it usually just me and the account rep on a location, they don't complain when I ask them to carry them LOL. For the corporate head shots, I can set up two point lighting and slash across the back ground in a just few minutes. For larger locations, I add in one of their SB-200 lights for more watts. I do miss some of the attachments i had with the pro light kits and they're not bi-color. In reality taping a gel over the front is no big deal on the rare occasion I need to warm up a hair/rim light or match an interior light. Light, bright and portable all I ever wanted ...

[2800 to 6500K] I just sold my Joker 800 HMI and bought the Fresnel 2000. It is a fantastic broad source light with its large 7 fresnel lens that packs a big punch. The bi-color accuracy and adjustment is the icing on the cake.
