A: The MXL PF-005-SS is intended for use with the MXL 2001, 2003A and V87 models which have a diameter of approximately 47 to 50mm. The AT2020USB+ has a diameter of 52mm so the PF-005-SS is too small for this microphone. You can use the Auray OMPF-33 On-Microphone Pop Screen (B&H # AUOMPF33) for the AT202USB+. It is designed for use microphones with a diameter of 45 to 65mm.

Q: 3. What are the inside diameter and inside depth?

A: While Rode does not specify these dimensions, we would estimate an inside diameter of around 1.9'' by a depth 3''.

Q: 4. When using a FetHead with phantom power can it be left in a constant on condition 24 hours and seven days a week? Is this advisable?

A: The TRITON AUDIO FetHead Phantom In-Line Microphone Preamp can be left on 24 hours 7 days a week. But I don't think it's advisable. You may shorten it's lifespan by doing so.

A: I have the XLR and it fits perfect. If the USB is the same size it will fit.

A: It should it's made for all MXL large diaphragm mic's.

A: The Auray PMFR can be attached to most desk mount stands. The gooseneck is flexible so you can bend it and position the pop filter where you want it. A: The mounting screw for the Auray PFMR Metal Pop Filter with Gooseneck is bare metal.

A: Audio-Technica HP-EP Earpads are original earpads directly from Audio Technica. They will be the same ones that came with the ATH-M50X

Q: 10. Plan on using this product with my Rode NTG2 and dr-40. which version do i buy?

A: I do all of my low end noise removal with SoundSoap or Izotope RX5. I would go with the version without the high pass filter. If you are using a ribbon mic that requires you to use a lot of gain, then the version with the high pass filter would probably serve you well.

[Pop Filter] I use this product for recording singing, live streaming, and recording commentary over video games. I use it with my M-Audio Fast Track. It is a really great microphone for the price. It has an extremely solid build, comes with a nice little leather pouch, and is a very very very clear-sounding microphone. 5

[0.155 lb] First off... I'm a big fan of audio technica products... My first mic condenser was an at2020 xlr which I love when it comes to quality and price. Then when I've tried this usb at2020 I'm sure that this mic will perform great like the xlr type. Actually when you look at them closely the usb is kinda smoother looking than the xlr (aesthetically)... It has a nice blue light to tell that it's on... It picks up nicely like every mic condenser but in the usb range at2020 wins when it comes to clarity, durability, looks etc. The cons on this mic it has no multi pattern... Only cardioid but still deserves a 5 stars... 5

[Pop Filter] I needed a condenser mic that I could pack with my laptop for quick VO auditions when I'm away from the studio. The AT2020 does an excellent job of approximating my (much more expensive) studio mic, and its plug-n-play ability makes it a breeze to set up. I don't record VO with headphones or multi-track, so zero latency isn't required. The mic build is rock solid, the stand is okay for basics, but I will be investing in a shock mount. And the price at B & H was the best I found anywhere! 5

[Pop Filter] Bought it to help with de-essing and plosives on my AT2035. Performs shockingly better than just a foam windscreen that I was using previously. Fits perfectly on my AT2035 with the shock mount. There was enough of a gap between the filter and mic grill that I was able to keep my foam windscreen as well just by sliding it down the element a bit so that the pop screen mount can attach. 5

[0.155 lb] For the voiceover artist working from the plug-n-play ground up, this mic is a must! You can optimize it with the shock mounts, pop filters, elongated mic stand, but this is a great piece of equipment all on its own! 5
