Previously, changing parameters and auditioning the result was a two-step process. Now, the preview process is in real time, meaning you hear the effects of spectral process parameter changes as you work, radically increasing the speed and efficiency of your workflow. You can process more content much faster, while evaluating the most subtle parameter changes on the fly in real time, all the time.

SpectraLayers now features non-modal dialog boxes, allowing you to work freely anywhere in the interface, even while a process dialog box is open. You can move the playhead, change selections, switch layers, and make adjustments in the Display panel, freely moving around the interface while monitoring parameter changes in real time with the new dynamic spectral processing feature. In addition, the dialog boxes now stay open after applying processes, allowing you to easily perform multiple sequential processes without having to recall the process dialog for each one.

The addition of process and tool presets is the perfect complement to the new real-time preview functionality. You can start with a default or custom preset and work from there, monitoring process changes in real time. Save presets as you work, and use them as reference points as you work. In addition, fully configurable Tool presets with a range of default options are now available, helping you create the right tool settings faster.

Q: 2. Can I use an intel core i3 processor with this interface?

A: An i3 should be sufficient to run this. I don't have the system requirements for the unit anymore, but I'm sure you have a good enough computer for it. I happen to have an i7, but I leave the unit on all the time, and it doesn't cause any system degrade at all. I also imagine you can look up the system requirements on the Steinberg web site. And just a side note, I'm very happy with the unit.

Q: 3. Will it work on lenses smaller than 70 mm?

A: I put this on a short lens and it was difficult to keep in place. It slides up and gets in the way of the lens. It works great on the 70 . It does not work well on a short lens.

Q: 4. Will ejements process Nikon NEF raw files?

A: I have not used a flash bar however I do not think one would properly fit inside the rain cover.

A: The Earthworks Icon Pro Cardioid Condenser XLR Microphone (Stainless Steel) is made in the USA.

A: The Steinberg UR44C 6x4 USB Gen 3.1 Audio Interface's headphone outputs are independent of its line outputs.

Q: 8. With the proper 1/4 mount for a Go Pro Black can this be used for that?

A: I would recommend a taller cage. A GoPro shows as being 1.8 tall, while a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is 2.6 , but I am not certain the GoPro dimensions include the protective housing or extra height from the mounting points. I have no GoPro here to test, but I would definitely recommend a cage with more vertical clearance.
