Instead you will need a dummy battery like the Kondor Blue DMW-BLK22 Dummy Battery to DC 1.35/3.5mm Coiled Cable (16 to 36"), BH #KODCBLK22.

Q: 8. I have a collection of these batteries from 2013 onward for my GH3 and GH4 bodies. Is there any way to tell which of the units is the oldest? I should have marked them by age but did not. I shoot all the time and want to recycle the older ones in favor of buying new ones.

A: I put a piece of removable tape on the end of each battery, then write the date on it in pencil when I charged it. I can then judge how long the battery is lasting (depending on how often I use the camera, of course). I recycle the ones that discharge quickly.

A: Yes, this is designed to be used with any standard d-tap, such as that on a V-mount or Gold mount battery.

Q: 10. what type power supply is needed for that type connector on power side ?

A: You will need 7.2 to 8.4 volts DC with the correct size male barrel connector (I believe it's 5.5mm x 2.1mm).

[0.07 lb] I bought this along with two additional batteries and it works like a charm! I also use it as a quick check for the remaining charge since it doesn't require external power to do so. It gives a handy percentage remaining figure which is more than my camera can do at a glance. I haven't tried using it to charge a device using camera batteries yet nor have I really stress tested it to ensure it doesn't over charge batteries. However, it seems to be operating well so far. 5

[0.07 lb] It's unfortunate how much less battery life I notice on my Watson off-brand battery compared to these. I wish I could spend less money, but these Panasonic batteries are crucial for me because they have the battery life. I often shoot long video, so I need to know my batteries are going to make it. Thus, getting the Panasonic ones are a no-brainer. 5
